Country Living: 7 Reasons to Go for It Now

Living in a rural region is a great way to create some serenity in your life, slow down your daily routine, and get some mental space. Further, there have been many studies that correlate spending time in nature with living a healthy lifestyle.
However, most individuals are unaware that living in the country has these advantages.

Living in a rural area has numerous positive effects on one's health. It is possible that relocating to a rural area would prove to be the most beneficial investment you ever make, not just for your well-being but also for your cash. Whether you want to discover how living in the country may significantly enhance your well-being or other positive aspects, the following are some ways that green space is associated with.

Healthier food

Living in a rural region gives me the chance to consume locally grown produce that is fresh and free of harmful chemicals. Even while I may get a bite to eat anytime the mood strikes me in the city, the quality of the cuisine is not always the finest.
It seems to reason that fast food and foods that have been transported over great distances are likely to have a lower nutrient content than those that are grown locally and could even be harvested in your own backyard. I realized that when I live in rural locations, I am more likely to prepare my own meals at home, allowing me to reap the numerous benefits of a nutritious diet.

Cheaper cost of living

The financial benefits of living in the country don't end with the original property purchase, though. I used to pay city center rates which were high. But when I moved to the countryside, I quickly discovered that my wage goes a little farther out in the country, where facilities, food, and nights out are less expensive.
Do you ever realize that pricing for even the largest grocery chains vary based on the neighborhood's wealth and the location of their store?
However, the lower cost of living can occasionally be offset by an increase in utility costs. For instance, high-speed internet access may be more expensive and limited, and heating costs may also increase in rural properties because many have individual home heating oil tanks that can end up being more expensive over time.

Stronger immune system

In a study that was published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (2013), the researchers found that children and adults who move to farming areas, regardless of whether or not they directly work in the agricultural industry, can increase their immunity and, as a result, their resistance to illness. This was true even if they did not directly work in the agricultural industry. This is because they were exposed to a wide variety of irritants, germs, and fungus, including pollen. I have discovered that my immune system is better able to fight off infections when I started to live in a setting with a high level of environmental exposure. I felt a lot better and didn't get sick often unlike when I lived in the city.

Individual freedom

Even if they are abstract, advertising and societal forces have a profound impact on our thoughts. Our minds are constantly diverted by the city's abundance of distractions anytime we leave the house.
City dwellers have to stare out at large motorways, enormous billboards with advertisements created by people they will never meet, and the continual potential to become diverted from oneself rather than going outdoors and viewing woods and farms.
Living in the country is different since I have fewer societal pressures and marketing to impede my ability to enjoy life. It is reasonable to assume that major corporations attempt to change our way of thinking. The main goal of marketing is to quietly alter consumer views in favor of brands. Residing in the countryside gives me the experience of having independent thought and don't have to think about too many pressures. I feel that I have more freedom in everything that I do.

Improved health

Many advantages of rural life are associated with being outside in the fresh air. Even while you don't need to travel far to enjoy some sunshine and trees, you'll find more of them in rural areas than in cities and the suburbs if you do. Regarding particular advantages, spending time in a natural setting is advantageous for anything from enhancing short-term memory to decreasing blood pressure. You could even get more imaginative.
When I live in the country, I don't have to travel very far to enjoy my health. I get more advantages of spending more time in nature. Instead of being a bus or car trip away, nature beauty is right outside my very door. Drinking purer water and breathing cleaner air each day, ensures and improves my health.

Children's positive growth

Ellen White her book entitled Country Living, talks about the dangers of the cities saying, "Parents flock with their families to the cities, because they fancy it easier to obtain a livelihood there than in the country. The children, having nothing to do when not in school, obtain a street education. From evil associates, they acquire habits of vice and dissipation. The parents see all this, but it will require a sacrifice to correct their error, and they stay where they are, until Satan gains full control of their children.

Better sacrifice any and every worldly consideration than to imperil the precious souls committed to your care. They will be assailed by temptations, and should be taught to meet them; but it is your duty to cut off every influence, to break up every habit, to sunder every tie, that keeps you from the most free, open, and hearty committal of yourselves and your family to God," Ellen White stresses.

Space of land for future survival

"The time has come, when, as God opens the way, families should move out of the cities. The children should be taken into the country. The parents should get as suitable a place as their means will allow. Though the dwelling may be small, yet there should be land in connection with it, that may be cultivated. Parents can secure small homes in the country, with land for cultivation, where they can have orchards and where they can raise vegetables and small fruits to take the place of flesh meat, which is so corrupting to the life blood coursing through the veins. On such places the children will not be surrounded with the corrupting influences of city life. God will help His people to find such homes outside the cities," stresses Ellen White.

"In the last great conflict of the controversy with Satan those who are loyal to God will see every earthly support cut off. Because they refuse to break His law in obedience to earthly powers, they will be forbidden to buy or sell. It will finally be decreed that they shall be put to death," White continues. See Revelation 13:11-17.
