5 Reasons You Should Shop at Five Below This Summer

I want to talk to you today about saving money at one of my favorite stores: Five Below. If you've never been to a Five Below before, let me tell you about it. The concept is very simple. Everything in the store is $5 or less. If you've gotten bored with your local dollar store and want to step it up a little, Five Below is the place for you. If you have kids or you are shopping for someone under 18, Five Below is not just inexpensive, it has a lot of trendy items kids really want.
Whenever I go to Five Below, I am shocked at how low-priced new, hot products are at their store. I honestly don't know how they do it. For instance, they have selfie sticks for just five dollars. Everywhere else, they are about twenty dollars. And yes, this means there is a selfie stick sitting in my home right now, and yes, it works! If you are into gadgets, there are plenty to choose from and they are only $5 or even less. If you want a case for your laptop or tablet, but don't want to pay too much, just head over to Five Below. Not only will you find what you need, you will often have a variety of color choices.
I could ramble on for a while about the trendy, cool stuff they have and how cheap it is, but that is not necessarily what this hub is about. Instead, I want to focus on Five Below's summer items. If you want to have a great summer, but you want to save money, you should head to Five Below. The quality of their products are going to be better than anything you'll get at the dollar store, and they are often more fun and colorful.

1. Flip Flops
Whether you call them flip flops or thongs or whatever else your region calls them... Five Below has them. Come get your cheap shoes for the beach! Right now, you can get flip flops 2 for $5 at Five Below. Sure, sure, Walmart has flip flops for 98 cents, but do they have a pug wearing sunglasses on them? I don't think so!
Five Below has plenty of styles to choose from: beach scenes, fun patterns, pugs, ice cream cones, and more. If flip flops are not really your thing, don't worry, They also have canvas shoes, water shoes, and fake crocs instead. They are available for $5 a pair. If you'd rather have a sturdier pair of flip flops or sandals, Five Below does offer some for five dollars. You can even get flip flops full of "bling" in case you want to make your beach visit even more sparkly this summer.
2. Summer Wear
You might be surprised to find inexpensive clothing at Five Below, too. Five Below is known for having a wide assortment of t-shirts. Many of them are funny graphic tees with farting unicorns or wacky dinosaurs on them. You can even get t-shirts with ponies on them if you love My Little Ponies, but don't have the money for a licensed tee. Five Below is also known for their large variety of tie-dye shirts in the summer, too.
If t-shirts are not your thing, that is OK. Five Below also has summer dresses that are perfect for the beach. They material is a bit thin, but they are fine for wearing over a bathing suit. Need some low-budget sunglasses or a baseball hat? Or maybe you just want to pick up some cheap tank tops. Five Below has all of these items and then some.

3. Pool Toys
Are you looking for cheap pool floats? Well, look no further. Not only does Five Below have some inexpensive basic floats, it is has plenty of pool floats in funny shapes. You can get a pretzel pool float, a pizza shaped float, a doughnut pool float, a unicorn float, or even ride on the back of a giant inflatable pool float dog. You can't find that at many other stores.
You can also find other pool toys, like noodles, beach balls, and pool games. Everything is priced reasonably at $1 to $5, depending on the size of the pool toy. I know people that don't go anywhere other than Five Below for their pool floats in the summer.
4. Fun Beach Stuff
Are you going to the beach this summer? You should stop at Five Below. They have plenty of inexpensive items that are fun and inexpensive. Here is a list of just some of the great beach products you can purchase there:
- Sunscreen
- Beach umbrella
- Beach towels
- Beach balls
- Swim goggles
- Cooler bags
- Cooler jugs
- Beach chairs
- Beach tote bags
Even the least expensive chairs on Amazon are more than $5...

5. Party Supplies
If you are planning cookouts, picnics, pool parties, or just having fun in your own backyard this summer, Five Below is the place to shop. Five Below has plenty for your outdoor party this year. You can buy string lights that are all shapes and sizes. You can also find decorative mesh butterflies to put all over your deck, trees, etc. You can even find an awesome condiment holder that is shaped like a picnic table (pictured to the right).
Some of the best deals at Five Below for the summer include a 1 gallon glass jar beverage dispenser for only $5. Who doesn't need a few of those for an outdoor party? There are also plenty of cups and mason jars for drinks, priced from $1 to $3. There are citronella candles for just $1 to keep those uninvited bugs away from your party.
If you have small children coming to the party, don't worry! Five Below has you covered. There are giant boxes of sidewalk chalk for the kids to use. Also, if you have seen Squishy Sand at other stores and thought it was too expensive, you can get it for only $5 at Five Below. If that isn't enough, there are a large assortment of children's games and toys at Five Below. Children will never bored at your summer party!
For that matter, just about anyone won't be bored if you shop at Five Below. It has everything you need for a great summer, and you will find plenty of other useful items while there as well.

My daughter and I can't go into Five and Below very often because we go crazy. We can really find some good deals there, especially seasonal things that I'm not worried about breaking after a summer of use. Great store!

Five Below has lots of cute stuff you can't find anywhere else. The prices are great, but the cuteness factor is better than the prices. I work at Old Navy, but I'd rather have the flip flops at Five Below any day. Thanks for dropping by!

Never heard of Five Below. I would rather shop in a Five Below than be in temperatures that are Five Below. Our Dollar Tree has prices over $1 but I do not shop there often because they never have what I am looking for. Cute flip flops, even Old Navy doesn't make them that cute.

I checked Google, too, Jeannie, and there are five Five Below stores in Florida but all in north Florida. However, the chain plans to build many more according to their website. Thanks for the heads-up.

fpherj48, I am bored with dollar stores, too. Also, some of the items tend to be focused more on pre-teens at Five Below, so everything is really colorful... just the way I like it! The adult stuff is pretty awesome, too.
