These birds all come from exotic places like the rain forrests in South America. What about Malaysia? You must have some amazing ones there!

Hi Cinda

I bet by now you've found these out for yourself, but just in case, and because I think some of the others answers are a little of the mark:

No.1 is a Wilson's Bird of Paradise, No.2 is a Blue Bird of Paradise, No.3 is a Lesser Bird of Paradise (which has the yellow fading to white plumes, the greater has red plumes), No.5 is a King Bird of Paradise; and all come from the same family and are found in the region of New Guinea. No.4 is the odd one out, it's a leucistic (white or pale)form or albino Peacock, (male Peafowl) which originate in India

#1 is a subspecies of the Magnificent Bird of Paradise that lives on an island off the coast of New Guinea, and number two is the Blue Bird of Paradise from New Guinea.

Gunnar on October 30, 2010:

Hi Cinda!

Bird no.5 is the King Bird-of-Paradise from New Guinea as pateluday wrote.

No.3 is the Greater Bird-of-Paradise also from New Guinea.

Nice photos. I also like the second one. It's wings look so soft and light it doesn't look like it could fly.
