Thomas Kinkade Gardens and Fountains
Savannah Romance
In all the Thomas Kinkade garden scenes he used something to symbolize a message. Whether it was an open gate in the Victorian Garden, the gazebo in the Garden of Prayer or magnificant fountain in Savannah's Romance, there was something the artist wanted to convey to his viewers... hope, love, and peace through God's Son Jesus.
Take a look at some of the beautiful paintings made public by Thomas Kinkade. Savannah's Romance is one of the most special pieces from him, because it is the only one of its kind.
In this article I have included the video that tells the story behind one of the most sought after paintings in this decade. Mr. Kinkade shares where he got the inspiration for his garden scenes, and describes his "romance" with the city of Savannah in Georgia.

Savannah Park Entrance
The fountain at the north end of the park was added in 1858 and is reminiscent of fountains in the Place de la Concorde in Paris and in Cuzco, Peru. At this time, Parisian urban planning was centered on the development of residential neighborhoods radiating out from a central green space. The Parisian model of developing large city parks was emulated by large cities in the United States, with even smaller cities, such as Savannah, asserting their own cosmopolitan image.
Every St.Patricks Day the Fountain is Ceremoniously turned Green in Celebration of the Savannahs Deep Irish Heritage.
The fountain and many other aspects of Savannah are clearly visible in the 1962 version of Cape Fear.

Savannah Romance the Fountain
The story behind any painting always intrigues me. I find myself wrapped up in the scene and invisioning myself walking through a park or sitting on the benches and drinking in the abeonce. It is no different with Kinkade's Savannah Romance. When I first saw this painting it was as if one could see a glimpse of Heaven's beauty.
For the painter, he wanted to reflect that life is full God's blessings, pouring out continually from Heaven. You can see how the water starts from the top and pours down into a hugh base signifying the abundance of bounty from the Lord.
The setting is in a park that is in full bloom with fragrant flowering trees and bushes. The shade of the trees invites us to relax and take comfort. It's a perfect place to retreat in a tranquil setting with benches to rest a weary soul.
Thomas Kinkade wanted people to think about the blessings God has continually given us, and hoped that is what people could see in this paintng.

Savannah Romance the Story
Savannah, Georgia is one of the most beautiful cities decorated in luxurious homes, parks, gardens and the majestic Forsyth Fountain. It was this real life fountain that inspired Mr. Kinkade for the painting called Savannah Romance. He love the city and the old town way about it. Listen as he shares the story behind the painting.
Savannah Romance is the only fountain painting of Mr. Kinkade that he did for the public, and the first garden scene depicting the south. It is very rare and highly in demand.

Gardens of Prayer Lighted Fountain
Such detail is displayed in the brick entry posts and the gold swinging gate, that you can imagine yourself being there in that peaceful garden of prayer, kneeling by the fountain and surrounded by flowers. The lamp posts glow and water fountain lights up shining the way inviting you into the garden.

Garden of Prayer
Inspirtation came when Tom took a walk with his wife Nanette through my favorite garden in PA called Longwood Gardens. He saw a gazabo there and then recreated it with his designer touch, which initiated all the prayer garden scenes. His message would be for us to focus on our prayer life.

Garden of Prayer Hand-Blown Glass Bowl
Thomas Kinkade Garden Of Prayer Hand-Blown Glass Bowl by The Bradford Exchange
Beautiful glass baskets attract the attention of any passer-byer. I have found that this hand-blown glass bowl is the focal point of any table or counter, with its handpainted spring flowers and colors. To add to its beauty, the designer has delicately placed a fluttering butterfly on the rope-like handle. It's perfect for candy, small treasures or potpourri. A Bradford Exchange Thomas Kinkade collectible.

Garden Of Light Collectible Stained Glass Wall Decor
Garden of Light Stained Glass
Stained glass paintings remind me of a serene tranquil place where I want to visit often to get away from the busyness of the day. I picture myself walking along the brook and crossing the bridge as I gaze down to see the water flowing down stream. This soflty illuminated stained glass painting would look lovely hanging on the wall with a cozy upright Queen Anne chair nearby.
Kinkade has taken a scene from his Lamplight Lane collection and displayed it in this lighted panorama setting. Yet another rare find, and it is the first of its kind by the Bradford Exchange.
