Review of the SIHOO S100 Ergonomic Office Chair
Out With the Old
Five years ago, I picked up a new gaming chair, which I immediately nicknamed The Bumblebee. While the style and coloring were unconventional, this well-padded chair was comfortable to the point of luxurious. It, however, did have its share of shortcomings.
The Bumblebee has now been replaced by the SIHOO S100, an office chair much better suited for my home office.
Description
My new chair arrived in a cardboard box, well-protected by strategically placed packing material. Some assembly was required, but the task proved to be reasonably straightforward.
When fully assembled, the SIHOO S100 weighs 49.8 pounds and is 44.1 - 50 inches high, 28 inches wide, and 28 inches deep. While my chair is colored black, a white version with light gray fabric is available.
The S100’s mesh fabric provides the ventilation required to minimize the formation of sweat, and its curved seat suspension distributes and reduces the pressure applied to the user’s thighs and hips.
This device features dual lumbar support with two solidly framed mesh fabric sections backed by springs.
The chair’s chassis responds to weight and movement, ensuring that seating is well-balanced and comfortable.
Two levers beneath the seat adjust the chair’s recline angle, position, and height. Padded armrests adjust vertically and horizontally and can pivot to the left or right.

Assembly
The instructions were clear and concise; an instructional video is available on YouTube if needed.
Every part was fully described and marked, and SIHOO included the required Allen key. In my first step, I foolishly connected the adjustment mechanism to the chair seat facing the wrong direction. This mistake was corrected after I finished putting the chair together.
While it required two hours to assemble the chair fully, this included two coffee breaks and several pauses to take photographs. I was in no hurry.
The Work Environment
I also own the SIHOO Cora C300. It utilizes a different type of lumbar support and is fitted with an independent headrest. When I watch movies at night, I fully recline the chair and stuff myself with popcorn.
The S100, however, is a better choice for use within my tiny office. You can adjust how far forward the seat is in relation to the seatback, change the chair’s height, and move the padded armrests up, forward, and inward. The chair back can also be adjusted in height.
And, although a hard-working man, such as I, would never do so in his office, this chair can be reclined.
The Comparison
Although the S100’s seat is very comfortable, the thickly padded Bumblebee provides a more luxurious experience. Unfortunately, after about 30 minutes, it becomes a little warmer than ideal. Because the S100 features a mesh fabric that allows air circulation, its comfort is maintained.
My old chair is fitted with two soft pads which provide lumbar and neck support. This system works well, but the lumbar pad tends to slip downward between the seat and seatback. On the other hand, the spring-supported lumbar pads of the S100 continuously provide excellent support.
While the new chair’s weight is kept to under 50 pounds, the extra bulk and padding of the Bumblebee add to its weight. I found the S100 was much easier to maneuver within my home office.
Overall Impression
The SIHOO S100 is an attractive office chair. Possible adjustments include overall height, back height, inclination, and armrest positioning. The seat can also be moved forward or backward.
This chair supports firmly, and the mesh fabric ensures that support is maintained as you reposition your body.
I especially like the newly designed dynamic lumbar support system. It works extraordinarily well. If you are looking for a new office chair, I recommend the SIHOO S100 Ergonomic Office Chair.
