Yes, the window has a spider living inside. It has been a faithful friend, using its sheer cunning to attract and kill houseflies.
But, today, it is history.
It's an old house and the window doesn't seem to pull out. It does slide up, however. A fly swatter handle with a paper towel folded over it is my pokerinsidethewindow tool.
I shined it up with a little Sprayway Glass cleaner. That, plus a microfiber towel.
The next windows, a brush with water, then the same. Cleaner and microfiber.
If I had some vinegar and some newspaper, that would work too. There's something about the ink and the absorbency of the newspaper that leaves window streak free.

Rinsing in Sink with Sprayer
I thought if I sprayed the sills with water, they would drain out the front. Nope. I was wrong. I had to mop out the water using a paper towel.
