Soleus Air - 12,000 BTU Portable Evaporative Air Conditioner
Dog Drinks the Overflow Water
We run an air conditioner when it's hot and humid in the house. The inside air is sucked in, the water is removed and the hose drains in a bucket.
We had the hose out the window previous to now, but after I refinished the coffee table, it had to be relocated to its current window, and a bucket to keep floor dry.
Of course, our dog will occasionally drink the water.

Well, Brenda Arledge, thank you for your comment. We switched windows recently. The other window had a garden hose strung across the lawn and the hose from the ac neatly fit inside. Initially we let the hose drip outside the window, but after a while we had a puddle in the spot in the basement. We had drilled a hole in the bottom of the storm window for the hose.

I just had to read this one because I own a soleus saddle air conditioner.
I included a poem & a bit of information about it on this piece, but Hubpages deleted my link to Amazon for the air conditioner.

I love mine, but I do hate having to drain it inside the house in a bucket.
It's useful though. I use it on my flowers.

Liz Westwood, thank you for your comment. We have one in the house. One in the garage, and one up north at the cabin.

This sounds like a very useful device. There are times in the summer when we could do with one of these.
