Find Cleaning Work with Government Jobs and Foreclosure Clean-up Contracts.

Outlook for the property preservation industry in Real estate for service vendors will be bright due to the need for repossessed properties to be maintained in various zip codes. If you are looking for property preservation jobs it is a good start to becoming a small business owner who specializes in junk hauling and trashouts.

Homes that are sitting empty require someone to come and inspect the property on a regular basis, this includes the exterior and interior of the abandoned house. High U.S. home vacancy rates can cause a backlog in inventory for M&M companies and REO listings.

Adjustable Rate Mortgages are causing many homeowners to go into what is called a strategic default where they walk away from the home although they can afford the house payments.

Small Business Contracts, Government Jobs and Property Preservation Work- Orders is an Evergreen Business Opportunity

Most small business contracts with government jobs will include property preservation and contracts for window and door boarding, wood floor repair, mold an mildew removal, carpet cleaning, roof repairs, lawn maintenance as well as vacancy inspections and occupancy inspections.

The local housing authority is where you will want to submit your bid for these real estate contracts.

The outlook is pretty bright, with the increase of REO's. Foreclosure and banked owned properties flooding the market everyday. Mortgage Lenders will need these homes to maintained and kept up in Nevada. So as not to attract vandalism.

REO Preservation Services for Pre-Sale Properties

Interior and exterior trashout is needed to cleanup foreclosed and abandoned properties in Miami Florida, this also includes board-ups, vehicle and vessel removal. Lock changes and minor repairs help the home to maintained for future resale.

do you have to be certified to do evictions when doing a cleanout on foreclosure homes

Budd on March 12, 2009:

Randy and I have worked for my brother's preservation company. Randy has done inspections for HUD,FEMA and field inspections. We would like to start our own preservation company. We have the experience but, do not know how to get contracts. Most companys require liability and workmans comp insurance. At this time we do not have the funds for insurance. Is there any other options or company's that don't require insurance. We are located in Northern Calif. bodering Reno, Nevada.

Your site is excellent! I was just kicking around and found you. Budd

What is the "standard" rate a vendor should charge a company for field inspections?

Seano666 on February 27, 2009:

My friend does property and equipment inspections for a company called quiktrak. they are very reputable and pay well

Its best to work with a national company because they have already established themselves in the mortgage service industry.

guitarman1958 on February 26, 2009:

How do you find out if the company is reputable or not? I've heard of some that will not pay after you do the work

sealytrinbagoinc from Miami, Fl on February 16, 2009:

We are interested in property foreclosure preservation, mantainance and inspection jobs. Sealy Trinbago is owned and operated by two local Miami residents with vast and successful experience in all aspects of Real-Property Management.

Joe on January 25, 2009:

The problem with working for these nationals companys is that you end up with little pay for your labor. HUD priceing is $40 for a lock change, they get 20 to 25% for a fee, you pay for the lock, your gas, and ware and tear on your truck and end up with about $28

KT, the best advice I can give you on your question is for you to contact Five Brothers, either call them or send them an email and find out what rates they have for field inspections, that way you will get the exact information you are looking for. Thanks for stopping by.

kt on November 27, 2008:

What is the going rate for field inspections at Five Brothers for the following:

Regular Inspection

Rush Inspection

Insurance Inspection

Interior Inspection

The increase in foreclosures has opened up opportunities, mortgage companies need people to inspect and fix all the empty houses, making sure they stay in shape.
