Linda Miles, Owner, Fashion Green T Bags
Fashion Green T Bags - Go Green, refuse to waste. Unique novelty bags and more!
I have been associated with a green website called EcoHomeResource.com for quite some time now. During the course of my association, I have discovered several green products and become acquainted with their owners. I came to know Linda through my work with EcoHomeResource and thought that she was doing a unique and noble job. So I decided to interview her and showcase her products (recycled t-shirt bags) to my readers on HubPages and the web in general. You can read her complete interview here.
Linda wanted me to review one of her awesome bags, so she mailed me one. Thanks Linda for sending me such a wonderful piece of work!
If you are into green products you will simply love Linda's bags! They are simple, useful and harmless towards the environment.
Linda's Etsy store
Before I start my review, here is short description about Linda’s Etsy store and why her bags are unique from the rest.
Fashion Green T Bags specializes in making recycled bags - backpacks, hand-held bags, pouches and more using old T-shirts! Every item is handmade (by Linda herself) and a 100% earth-friendly. All profits from the sales go to her local food bank.

Linda Miles is a retired teacher and a mom of 2 fantastic young adults. She is married to the man of her dreams and has a great life!
She medically retired from teaching long before she had planned to, so she was looking for an activity that would be constructive and helpful to the community. She had a close relative who needed the services of her local food bank and it was through his experience that she realized what a valuable resource the social service agency can be to people in need. She decided to create her own store to generate revenue to donate to this agency as a way of repaying their help to many people.
I was excited to receive Linda's package because I had already seen her work through her Etsy store. She asked me to choose one of her bags so I opted to review the Grocery Market Tote Bag. I thought that this would be a useful bag to use and review because plastic bags are a mess! We all know how much of a menace plastic bags cause to the environment!
Although they are called grocery bags, these totes can be used for a variety of purposes. Here are some which Linda lists on her site -
- laundry and change of clothes
- beach bag
- gift bag
- knitting, crocheting and similar crafts
- diaper bag overflow
- gym necessities
- car clutter organizer
- books and magazines
- toys for kids
And this isn’t a comprehensive list! “There are a about million ways to use it - only limited by your imagination” ~ Linda Miles.
The tote bag was packed in a small and cute pouch. Linda also sent me a complimentary green tea sachet! Very generous of her. The pouch can be used to store spare change, jewelry, your lunch sandwiches etc!
The grocery market tote bag is made out of a used tee. Linda mentions that each grocery bag can hold “3-4 plastic bags’ worth without ripping or tearing". The size is certainly large and when I took it to the grocery store I could easily fit in 3 plastic bags’ worth of goods. The bag has double stitches at the bottom which makes it pretty strong.
Overall, I think it makes a great utility bag and you score extra points for helping the local food bank and the environment with your purchase. Now that’s a bag with a lot of potential! Most of the grocery bags are priced at a very low $10 so they are very very inexpensive. Go ahead, buy one for yourself at Fashion Green T Bags today and help Linda and her noble cause.
