I like it when the plants have actual fruit on them when I bring them home. Fleet Farm was selling the plants at a discount.

I carried a bucket out to the patch. Watering. It's about 100 feet from the house. The hose isn't long enough.

Transplanting

The transplanting process or procedure is pretty basic.

The receiving hole needs to be at least an inch bigger all around than the plant you are putting in the hole. Put some water in the hole so the dirt in the hole doesn't siphon the water from the dirt ball.

Remove plant from pot. Place plant in hole. Pull dirt into the ground next to the roots. Cover top of dirt under plant with dirt from the hole you dug.

Then, water the plants to merge the dirt.

Press sides in, then grasp plant near dirt and pull out of pot.

Place plant in hole, pull loose dirt around root ball.
