A Mixer's Mixer - Pondering a Purchase

My Mother's Mixer - Now Mine

I was invited to try a fancy blender, but I am afraid I turned the offer down.

The mixer was pretty. It looked sturdy. It had multiple blades. On and off. A timer. Beautiful colors. Sleek looking.

People, in the reviews, complained that the blades did not reach the bottom of the bowl. Personally, that seems like a small problem.

My mom's blender had a bowl lift.

The bowl is very large. Big enough to mix 15 pounds of cooked potatoes. That is huge. Too big for cooking for 2 people at my house. It would be perfect for a bigger family.

I would love to have you try the mixer and tell me that my fears are unfounded. I'm afraid that my house isn't big enough to store it.

My mother bought hers years ago at Montgomery Wards. I don't have to tell you that it is no longer available since (as far as I know, Montgomery Wards has closed)

But, the Kitchenin product is available, online. I may relent and get one eventually.
