There is a Perfect Daily Thought Book for You!

This page will explore the many daily wisdom-thought for the day books available and help you choose the one that best meets your interests and your desires. Started out to be the Top 50 Daily Wisdom books and ended up being over that. I have personally read each of the 'featured' books and used them as daily readers. The additional items (from each author) I have read at least 70% of them and recommend others from authors I enjoy the most.

These make amazing inspirational gifts! But, the gift will mean more if the recipient has told you about a challenge they have. In other words... Don't buy "How to overcome this or that challenge" for someone if they haven't told you they have the challenge. As you might guess, doing so might make them think you are judging them.

Healing is a delicate issue for most of us. But once we know what we are healing from , then, the gifts to help are often accepted with gratitude.

Question -- Time of Day

Daily Thought Book Suggestions

Two suggested Ways To Use The Daily Thought Books

One way to use these little gems of wisdom is to take one along with you to read the daily reading when you have a break from work, while waiting for a train or a traffic light, while waiting in the drive through, or any number of 'stopping' points throughout the day.

You may use one book throughout the day and read the daily thought several times, or, you may opt to have a few different books for different times of the day. Depending on your interests, your schedule, your challenges, and your work, you will find that there are specific wisdom of the day books to work well just for you.

Check out the FREE Reader APPS for your computer and other devices that allow you to read KINDLE books without a KINDLE device. Please review all of the categories to find the best type of daily wisdom book for you or for those you care about.

Thought for The Day

Top 50 Daily Wisdom Books

In this hustle and bustle lifestyle we lead, it is always a good idea to stop for a moment several times throughout the day and touch base with your heart. One way to do this is to connect with a daily thought or a meditation topic that will help you to stop and choose your thinking.

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale said "...a man is what he thinks about all day long."

Mike Dooley said "...thoughts become things, choose the good ones."

New BOOK -- Billie Hunt Ministries

Take The Journey to Your Dreams

I am personally using this book as a daily workbook / journal for prayer activation (goal achievement). I have previously used other goal achievement processes and have had great results. But this one is even more powerful. I am not only finding my prayers are materializing I am also discovering a more meaningful way to select those prayers. Billie Hunt's book has a way of showing us more about ourselves, our relationship with God, and how we interact with that relationship.

Take The Journey To Your Dreams. What is your dream or untapped talent or gifting? Have you reached a point in your life's journey where you are ready to quit wishing and making excuses and start achieving? If so, this workbook is your jump-start on an exciting, dynamic journey to turning your dream into reality....

Daily Reflections for Highly Effective People - Top 50 Daily Reading Books - Daily Wisdom - Daily Reflections

Habits are for adopting. What habits have you adopted into your life?

I didn't realize how often I was reacting to moments in life based on habit. As each of these habits begin to be revealed to me I am better able to make a conscience decision to stop. But, when I remove something I create room for something else. To ensure I will not simply pick up another 'habit' without actually choosing it I believe it works best for me to choose a few habits which will benefit my overall response to moments in life.

Would you consider looking at some proven, inspired, and successful habits?

This was a difficult question to answer at first. I had a few questions of my own. For example:

  • Who proved this?
  • Is this 'inspiration' real or imagined?
  • Who defined success here?

Yes. I am resistant. The answer to these questions is an individual one. I would only suggest we each ask, experience, and ask again. When we find what works... that is our best fit.

I loved both of the prequels to this! So having a handbook of mini-reminders is amazing.

If you enjoyed 7 Habits or the 8th Habit, you are going to enjoy this collection of daily reading (concepts applied to everyday life), workbooks, audio programs, and conversation starter cards.

Meditations from the Mat - Top 50 Daily Reading Books - Daily Wisdom - Daily Reflections

If you enjoy the concepts of yoga, eastern meditation, zen, or other mind body connectivity, you will enjoy these daily reading materials. Calming and reflective thoughts to guide you through a day of balance and inner peace.

Have you ever heard it is better to have no thoughts at all when meditating instead of having too many unsettling thoughts? Let's face it, we have too much on our minds most of the time. Trying to meditate can be difficult. You've heard "it only takes a few minutes to meditate each day" but the reality is you find yourself 'thinking' about all the things you need "TO DO" instead of pure meditation.

Connecting to self and others, healthy boundaries, self expression, workbooks, daily thoughts, & letting go.

The goal is healing. The process is different for each of us.

Question -- Who

Only You Can Choose

I would like to conclude with a thought.

Over the years I have often discovered books and thought of a loved one who would find it of value to them. I would suggest that when you have a heart reaction and want to provide a resource to someone do three things:

  1. Buy the book (follow your intuition)
  2. Wait before you give it until the person has declared they might have a habit they want to recover from. No one else can choose, judge, or convince another.
  3. Be open to the possibility you will discover that book is exactly right for an entirely different person.

Be well. Nurture your creativity. Take one day at a time.

Did you find a book that meets your needs?

Did you find a book for a loved one?

It would be great to hear from you...

Hi Sherry. I started writing on Squidoo in 2007. Prior to that I was writing as well. I believe my first online writing experience was in 1999. This hub is one of the pages which Hubpages imported from Squidoo for me. I am new on Hubpages.

Thanks so much for leaving a note!

Awesome lens with many great books here! There is only one thing you need to know:

âThe keys to life are running and reading. When you're running, there's a little person that talks to you and says, "Oh I'm tired. My lung's about to pop. I'm so hurt. There's no way I can possibly continue." You want to quit. If you learn how to defeat that person when you're running. You will how to not quit when things get hard in your life. For reading: there have been gazillions of people that have lived before all of us. There's no new problem you could have--with your parents, with school, with a bully. There's no new problem that someone hasn't already had and written about it in a book.â Will Smith
