Tobey's Top Artists

Peter of this universe knows how to have fun, but takes his music very seriously. He was a teenager in the year 2002, so his taste is defined by the era. He still listens to bands like Limp Bizkit, System of a Down, and Blink 182. He also still listens to more dorky music of his younger years like Reel Big Fish. But he was also alive for the indie music explosion of the early 2000's. His top five definitely reflects the era while showing that we can all age gracefully. His top artist reflects the fact that he is a classic but also an alternative to the mainstream.

5. Limp Bizkit

4. System of a Down

3. Modest Mouse

2. Foo Fighters

1. Nirvana

While Peter loves his music of his youth he also loves the music of his adulthood. Being a child of the 1990's he remembers when Limp Bizkit was the coolest band around in 2021 no body told him they're out of fashion. System of a Down is perfect for Peter their combination of high energy and intelligent lyrics help Peter feel like the smartest guy at the metal show. Modest Mouse is a band from his early adulthood, they're catching without being cool. He sees himself a lot in that band. Foo Fighters and Nirvana make a lot of sense. Peter was able to grow up with the music of both bands as Dave Grohl grew with him.

Tobey's Top Songs

His songs will reflect his tastes in artists (web slinging to Limp Bizkit sounds like a great time) and also he has a taste for newer songs that remind him of his youth. He tries to be cool and new but also has a love classics.

5. "good 4 u" by Olivia Rodrigo

4. "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit

3. "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters

2. "Drain You" by Nirvana

1. "Dashboard" by Modest Mouse

"good 4 u" was an instant ear worm for Peter, its combination of retro sounding alternative but also being so helpless catchy made him love it. "Break Stuff" is a classic and there is no better song to cover the New York City skyline blasting on your airpods. "Everlong" and "Drain You" both featuring Dave Grohl bands makes a lot of sense. Dave Grohl is epitome of cool especially in the early 2000's. Finally "Dashboard" is just one of those songs you can just listen to on repeat and is about looking optimistically at any situation you're in. Peter needs that.

The Amazing Spider-Man

While he definitely would have a vinyl collection, you can't listen to records on the fly.

Andrew's Top Artists

While this Spider-Man is probably choosing the most limited pressing of an album by an artist you've definitely never heard of, he has to use Spotify because vinyl doesn't transport well. He definitely has the coolest playlists but will let his nerdy side play out.

5. The Smiths

4. Yeah Yeah Yeahs

3. Hot Water Music

2. The Menzingers

1. The Gaslight Anthem

Of course this Peter would love the Smiths he is most definitely a huge fan of Meat is Murder. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are just like him: an underrated product of New York City. Hot Water Music is the music that he heard on Spotify alternative radio, and he definitely connected to the songs thinking they're a band from the northeast. The Menzingers and Peter have grown together. Both being punk kids in their youth to being complaining about the loss of youth and young loves. The Gaslight Anthem dropped The '59 Sound and Peter never looked back. The songs about old loves and sounding both like an old soul and a kid from the northeast Peter to this like a fish to water.

Andrew's Top Songs

This Spider-Man's top songs reflect how cool he is.

5. "The Queen is Dead" by The Smiths

4. "Maps" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs

3. "Farewell Youth" by The Menzingers

2. "The '59 Sound" by The Gaslight Anthem

1. "Miles Davis and the Cool" by The Gaslight Anthem

The songs here make complete sense. Peter loves the Smiths as a carry over from high school. "Maps" is that song that when it hits his ears he can flash back to his freshmen year before all this superhero trouble. When he heard the newest Menzingers album of course his favorite song would be about getting older and trying to still be the individual you thought you were. Peter loves The Gaslight Anthem and he still listens daily, he is an old soul afterall.

MCU's Spider-Man

This Peter definitely hates Jake Gyllenhaal.

This Peter definitely hates Jake Gyllenhaal.

Tom's Top Artists

This Peter is definitely a fan of what is on the radio and what MJ tells him to listen to. Peter also has a love for anything fun that you can dance to (he tries but can never find the beat).

5. Abba

4. Harry Styles

3. Phoebe Bridgers

2. Olivia Rodrigo

1. Taylor Swift

This Peter definitely found a love for dance music after rediscovering Abba on Tiktok. Harry Styles is on constant rotation after hearing MJ secretly playing his songs through her headphones in class. He found Phoebe Bridgers from her new association with his top artist and her music reminds him of darker times that he went through. Olivia Rodrigo is the perfect palette cleanser for his slinging through the city at sunset. He found out about Taylor Swift and is obsessed. If Spider-Man had a twitter his name would definitely be Spider-Man (Taylor's Version)

Tom's Top Songs

Tom's been having a time in love with MJ but also being obsessed with Taylor Swift lore.

5. "Watermelon Sugar" by Harry Styles

4. "Driver's License" by Olivia Rodrigo

3. "Brutal" by Olivia Rodrigo

2. "Nothing New" by Taylor Swift

1. "All Too Well" by Taylor Swift

He's got all the bangers of the past year here. He definitely has been binging Red and brutal. as his albums of the year. Also Peter definitely is listening to the 10 minute version most of the time. When he and MJ get into fights he immediately throws on Olivia Rodrigo and goes swinging through Manhattan. How else are you going to decompress from teenage love?
