My Journey - The Lord Guides Me
By: Yollie Bunag
This Christian poem follows the theme of the first one I wrote titled "Who Am I" which is an ever loving tribute to the Almighty Father.
Life here on earth is a journey, thus we are mere travelers. It is filled with ups and downs, happiness and sorrows, challenges and success. This is to test our faith and conviction, to put our hope and trust on our Almighty Lord, who is always there to guide us...till we reach the end of our journey--our salvation and the promised new earth and new heaven.
The Lord Guides my Way
Ahh, as I set my eyes on the horizon
Warm breeze of air touches my soul
To wonder how this wonderful sensation
Came in to be for creatures to enjoy
Love as they say is a wonderful feeling
Surrounds by the serenity of life
As I glimpse the path of my future
I know that the Lord guides the way
Yet as I leave my beloved homeland
Tears fell across my face
For I left a part of my being
To where I was created from
I know not what lies ahead
To journey to a foreign land
A land that knows no boundary
For the soul to wander around
As I face the challenge in life
Brave as I may be, but my soul needs strength
A strength that only my Lord could give
For He knows He's the Father of my soul
I seek not the wealth of this world
Nor what it can provide for humanity
Though I find it abounds with treasure
But the treasure in heaven that I long for
This journey of mine hasn't been so easy
With all the ups and downs that life's provide
Yet I know that a strong hand holds me
Until now I still stand firmly
I may still be journeying more
To a land I know not where
Praying that the words of God
Shall be there to nourish my soul
Somehow, someday when the time has come
For only God knows what lies ahead
When this journey of mine shall come to end
Bringing with me the promised salvation

My Journey With God
Barbara Frone (Author)
"Christians all over the world are struggling because they are either forcing themselves to "do right" and have lost their joy, or they are just going to church on Sunday and not thinking too much about God during the week. With the simple and straightforward message to seek God, Barbara Frone's My Journey with God is the author's personal testimony about how God reached into her heart and showed her that all she needs is him. This book is a blueprint on how to really get to know God, inviting readers to grow closer to God and really get to know him, realizing how much he loves you and wants a relationship with you.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
About the Author
Barbara Frone attends Bible Baptist Church in Fairbanks, Alaska and has been a Christian for twenty-one years. She was inspired by God to write a book about her Christian walk and how God showed her that we are not meant to walk it alone. God wants us to get to know him by not only reading his Word, but also by calling upon him daily. Barbara is a wife, mother, and grandmother of three of the most precious grandbabies.
In Search of God - My Journey
Tina Ketch (Author)
In searching for tomorrow we often set today aside. Only in looking back on yesterday do we see our dilemma. Life is an experience of ever propelling motion. Yet some people insist on getting stuck. This book will enable you to see, feel and experience beyond your box of societal beliefs.
It sometimes is the fear that we have that makes us want to believe what we had been taught as a child. The fear and intrepidation that something can and will happen if we stray from our parents beliefs. But what if - what if there is something "else" out there that seems to ring true to you. A feeling that things are just not right and perhaps a light has been shining on you that you hadn't seen before. Life, experiences and beliefs are individual not collective nor are they to be dogmatic. Hold to what you have and let the fear pass as you explore your on heart, mind and soul for your own truths. This is what I have done in this book as I open myself to the possibility that God is "ALL" not just him.
