Did You Know 'Think & Grow Rich' Was A Condensed Version Of The Much Larger 1925 Napoleon Hill 'Law of Success' Edition

Did you know that 15 years before Napoleon Hill's world bestselling book 'Think & Grow Rich' was published the author wrote a much larger, earlier work.

The bestselling version is what might be called a summary of the earlier larger more comprehensive work originally published in many volumes.

If you're thinking to "grow rich" after reading Napoleon Hill's brilliant book 'Think and Grow Rich', the problem is that everything hinges on implementing one's Definite Major Purpose.

But what if we don't know what that is?

Or what if we throw our entire energies behind the wrong one?

Is it good enough to come up with just any major purpose. When he uses words like "choose" or "decide" perhaps we should be "finding" or "discovering" or "uncovering" our life purpose instead.

The truth is, we are born with a single major purpose in life.

Think Billy Joel and Ben Stiller. They were fortunate enough to stumble upon theirs at an early age.

The famous singer Ella Fitzgerald, at the age of 16, entered a talent quest at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem as a dancer but, at the last minute, opted to sing instead. She gave three encores. In her 60 year career she won no less than 13 Grammy Awards.

These talented people came upon their Definite Major Purposes early in life. As did, I suspect, most or all of the 500 successful men(!) on which his famous success philosophy is based. But it's not just reserved for great artists and successful businessmen and politicians.

Each one of us, you and I, although unknown, have one and we inwardly understand what it is.

We only need to bring it to the surface.

Any old purpose just won't do.

And this is the life truth I missed until my freelance business which, I believed at the time, followed the 'Think & Grow Rich' formula, went bankrupt (and took me with it).

Again, simply coming up with any old purpose and applying the 'Think & Grow Rich' formula falls short of the complete formula for success in life.

Hill's philosophy of success assumes it will. No it won't. And this element could well make the difference between success ... and, yes! ... failure.

As I learned the hard way.

Napoleon Hill's original 1925 'Law of Success' collectable volume (12 years before 'Think & Grow Rich') & other early works

Why did 'Think & Grow Rich' have so much of a profound impact on tens of millions of people around the world?

Maybe because it reveals to us the "mind map" for success, not only material success but in every aspect of our lives.

In other words it contains proven ways of thinking that will enable us to achieve all it is we want to in life.

Health, wealth, love and happiness are all just a "mind switch" away.

Anyone can read the book, but the key is understanding its principles.

I must have read it a dozen times before I really "got it."

There's so much to take in, every chapter, every sentence contains profound ideas.

Often I'd quit before I'd read even a few pages.

You don't want to miss a thing!

NOTE: It would seem that Amazon has only a few copies of this original edition available (at the time of writing) and possibly may have none as you read this. Original copies would likely be a little the worse for wear so I recommend you opt for the more recent set on CD - for which you will find links below.

Who was Napoleon Hill?

Napoleon Hill was born in 1883 in a one-room cabin on the Pound River in Wise County, Virginia.

He began his writing career at age 13 as a "mountain reporter" for small town newspapers and went on to become America's most beloved motivational author.

Hill passed away in November 1970 after a long and successful career writing, teaching, and lecturing about the principles of success. His work stands as a monument to individual achievement and is the cornerstone of modern motivation.

His book, Think and Grow Rich, is the all time bestseller in the field.

Hill established the Foundation as a nonprofit educational institution whose mission is to perpetuate his philosophy of leadership, self-motivation, and individual achievement.

His books, audio cassettes, videotapes, and other motivational products are made available as a service of the Foundation to help others build a library of personal achievement materials, and acquire financial wealth and the true riches of life.
