l Did My Best, But I Am Not God.

Goodnight For Now.

I did my best,

But l am not God.

If l were, yesterday would different be.,

But God is older, wiser, cleverer than me.

l would selfishly

Have spent my day with you.

Telling you how loved you are,

Promising to not go far.

yet even if that dream could be,

What point would be if God were ME!?

Jesus resurrected those who had already died,

He told us that His Father could not lie.

So l must bear the pain l feel,

Until the day will come,

When resurrection is for you,

And not you the only one.

The earth will be a Paradise

As it once was meant to be.

And then it will be obvious

That God .... He is not me.

This doesn't ease my pain

Yesterday was HELL.

But deep down in my heart,

Beneath the pain and sorrow,

I know that God is right.

Always has and always will be.

I did my best,

Yet still you died,

So l must just wait patiently,

For God's Day when He resurrects,

And joyful all the earth can be.

And glad, for sure, that God's not me.

It's as though you placed your emotion into words, and that reaches into almost every corner of our being. Sympathies in your sorrow now.

Oh Vincent, Thank you. l feel l haven't seen you for ages. l am always honoured when you comment on my work, though this one was just pouring my heart out for a dear friend who was only 47 yrs old and we don't know yet how she died, (Shudder)

Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss, no matter who it is family or friends, we still feel a deep pain within our hearts and souls. Stay positive my friend for I believe all family and friends will meet again on the other side and they will recognize each other. Your poem was very meaningful and for Christians it will give all comfort knowing they have a risen Christ. Hugs to you sweet Dim. Peace and blessings I send to you this sad day.
