How to Write Content That Gets Noticed
That's the key. When you are writing an article for your blog, someone else's blog or your news page, what you should be concerned about is who is going to find your content and how are they going to access it?
It's one thing to write creatively for say an ebook, paperback or magazine, but it's a whole other ball game writing for website visitors.
Write for Busy People – Make Your Content Obvious
Your web visitors consider the same two things: Are you offering them the information they need and can they find it easily?
Make it clear what your expertise is. You might start by using a question as your H1 tag. The problem or the issue. Next, use the first paragraph to tell your audience how you can solve their problem, you have all of the answers, there is no need for them to go anywhere else.
Pop an internal link into the second paragraph, leading them to the product or service page on your website. Bear in mind audiences generally click the first link they come to if it looks relevant. They don’t want to trawl through your beautifully constructed words, they just don’t care how much time you have taken to produce your content.
Be the Expert in Your Field or Topic
Make it clear to your audience that you are an expert on the subject. Start each paragraph with a clear statement and make sure you break your text up with sub-headings. Make each heading an H3 tag and make sure you make use of bullet points too. Google, in particular, likes to see that you are giving your audience clear and concise advice or instructions.
Forget About Being Clever When Writing for Business
If you’re trying to be all creative and clever with a play on words in an effort to impress your audience then don’t bother. Really, put your thinking cap away and write simply constructed sentences. Trying to be creative requires your audience to think, and they don’t have time for that. All you have to do is to think about how you behave when you are hunting for something online. We are all the same, we all lead busy lives and we all have something else that also needs attention. We are just thinking about getting to that.
Break up Text With Great Images
It's vey important to give your audience something other than text to look at. It's tough reading a block of content that isn't broken up with great images or graphics. The eye and the brain need another sort of stimulation. It's far less daunting for audiences if they can immediately see that your post is peppered with beautiful imagery and bold statement headings.
Use SEO in Your Writing
Important? Hell yes! Think of your news item or blog post as a gateway. Just another way for new visitors to find your service or product. optimisation is imperative. Here is when you can be creative. No long string of search phrases. More a subtle scattering. Top Tip: Make sure your top search phrase appears in the first paragraph of text. If you can get it into the first paragraph then all the better.

There really is no difference in the end game here. Either way, you are looking for more website traffic.
You can, of course, get more creative when it comes to writing for individuals rather than customers. Audiences looking for advice on skincare or hair products, for example, will be far more likely to respond to your article as a whole as opposed to searching for another page on your website.
Stay on track and on point when utilising a key-phrase for audiences and always leave comments open if you are writing for individuals. What you want here, is to maximise engagement. Be keen to reply to genuine comments and give personal experiences wherever possible.
