He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, He Loves Me

The Challenge!

The poetry challenge was: How do you know if you are in love. If you want to participate, you can post the link to your poem here. I decided to do several poems and throw a few of my favorite quotes in here, too!

Once again a shout out and a thank you to: PHILLYDREAMER, for putting those challenges out there! Please read his contribution: http://phillydreamer.hubpages.com/hub/How-Do-You-Know-When-Youre-In-Love-Poetry

He loves me, he loves me not

he loves me yes

he loves me no

as petal after

petal go

he loves me yes

he loves me no

I really, really need to know

he loves me yes

he loves me no

pull one more off

another to go

he loves me yes

he loves me no

I wonder if I'll ever know

he loves me yes

he loves me no

it doesn't matter where it ends

I've still got a whole garden to go!

Role Reversal

How do I know if I'm in love?

My palms sweat, it's hard to breathe

Whenever he walks in the room

I smile big,do a jig

When I see him, I kind of swoon

How do I know if he's in love?

That question is so much trickier

I fear that with the roles reversed, the man may be much pickier!

"You know that you are in love when the hardest thing to do is say good-bye!!"~Unknown

"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should just be friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love."~Neil Gaiman, American Novelist, Journalist, Screenwriter.

falling hard

I don't

want to land

Afraid to crash

I just want you to hold me

Here

in your arms

in your love

You know you are in love when you want to shout it out, talk about it to everyone, maybe write it all over your hand?

How do you know if you are in love?

In love

Euphoric, ecstatic, delirious

with love

charmed, confused, overwelmed

by love

giddy,delirious, head over heels

from love

happy, content, safe

in love

enveloped, secure, right

by love

I don't want to sleep

Never want to leave

Love the way you love me

Over and over again

Verily and
