Covid-19 Striking Businesses

While running errands this week, I noticed a few business are changing their hours.

Our local Walgreens is no longer open on Sundays. Plus they have reduced their hours by closing early.

Monday through Friday it's doors lock by seven o'clock post meridian and by six o'clock on Saturdays.

Others actually have signs stating they are temporarily closed.

Some of them are closing down for a three or four days at a time.

It seems Covid-19 has struck again with many employees off work due to Coronavirus.

Our local license bureau was closed down for a couple of weeks forcing people to either travel to a nearby city or submit their information online with payment.

This us where we renew our driver's license, obtain titles for vehicles and purchase license plates for our automobiles.

As I was driving Ron's truck a sensor alerted me the tire pressure was low.

Since we had just put air in them a few weeks ago, I drove to a local tire place called "O K Tire Service.

Sadly, I was greeted by a sign on the door stating they we're sorry for the inconvenience. We're temporarily closed due to illness within the staff.

There was nothing else I could do, except put air in the tires myself at a local gas station.

Success Is Just Around The Corner

It's been awhile since I've read any Stephen King's books, but I always enjoy them.

He seems to take something so simple and then embellish it.

Like "The Boogeyman" where he obviously talks about being afraid of what's in the closet.

I don't know about you, but when I was young I had that fear.

There is always something that makes us feel scared or gives us immense pleasure.

Try to expand your thoughts and explain those feelings to us in a unique way.

Maybe it will be the next horror book or a romance novel.

We never know what an editor might find appealing, so don't give up.

Use Stephen King's climb to success as an inspiration. You can see his story in the video posted below in this article.

If he had thrown in the towel, he wouldn't be a Worldwide Best Selling Author. Of course, it helped having his wife pushing him along the way.

Don't ever give up. Success is just around the corner.

Word Prompt = Treasure

I was watching “The Curse of Oak Island” last night.

It’s a television series about an island on the shore of Nova Scotia which has intrigued treasure hunters for years.

In any case, my thoughts started spinning and I decided on the word prompt, “Treasure.”

“Treasure" is something of great value or worth.
It can describe wealth and riches, a collection of valuable items, or even a feeling one holds deep in his heart.

I don’t know about you, but the first thing that comes to my mind is “One’s Man Trash Is Another Man’s Treasure.”

While others describe their greatest treasure to be their family.

Then there are those who believe in the written word, saying that the greatest treasure comes from a book.

Maybe it’s a buried treasure lost at sea that people have been trying to find for years.

I can’t wait to see what your muse comes up with for this one. It should be quite interesting.

So, let’s pick up our pens and jot down a few lines.

Treasure ~ Bruno Mars

Sometimes this life seems like

A Treasure Hunt..

wherein the hunters are unsure of what treasures lay in wait for them..!!
