What Poem, What Song?

I have stumbled across a new passion: writing. It is proving to be insightful and rewarding.

What is a poem?
The lyrics to a song without the melody?
An emotion that has felt it’s own thought?
A thought that has become it’s own words?
A beginning.
A new life.
A kind predilection.
A seed planted.
How deep is the enthusiasm anchored in your heart?
How deep is the enthusiasm anchored in thoughts?
Is it like being lost in a tune that winds it's way through mind and soul?
Is it like being in a time tunnel?
Is it like being trapped in a web of bronze and silver strings?
I'll sing a lullaby for you and soon you will rest with me in my song.
It will become our ballad.
We will join our voices together as one.
A melody, a harmony, a tune within a tune.
On one day ‘til tomorrow is when the future happens.
That’s when the future begins.
Time that’s on the horizon will pass over us soon enough.
Caught in the rotation we spin.
It’s in motion we succeed, we live.
It’s not just about survival.
It’s about balance.
Life is a melody.
Life has it’s own beat.
Life has it’s own song.
So let’s sing a song to life.
The energy that lives within us.
The energy that surrounds us.
The energy that flows towards us and away from us.
What is a poem, but the lyrics to a song without the melody?
Can it be expected that a tune be written without it’s own feelings?
An emotion that has felt it’s own thought?
A thought that has expanded into it’s own words?
