Tweetledee, Tweedledum and Tweeting-don?

From one good friend to another

Chris Mills (cam8510) suggested I write a satirical poem featuring Tweetledee and Tweetledon? Tweetledee could be Assad or Putin. To add to the mix is Tweeting-don.

Here you go Chris, I hope I did not disappoint.

Tweedledum and Tweedledee are fictional characters in an English nursery rhyme and in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There. Their names may have originally come from an epigram written by poet John Byrom.

Epigram: Per Wikipedia: 1. a pithy saying or remark expressing an idea in a clever and amusing way. 2. a short poem, especially a satirical one.

Epigram Personality: Silly, Obnoxious, Nonsensical, Hyperactive, Cunning, Whimsical, Childish

Appearance: Pink nose, Red hair, Black shoes

Tweedledee, Tweedledum and Tweeting-don

Tweedledee, the president of Rushing Red

Grins as he thinks of Tweeting-don

With whom (so to speak) he is in bed

If Tweeting-don found himself to be the puppet

Then their Bromance would be dead

Tweedledee stuck his pink nose in the US elections

At Tweeting-don specific directions

To smear his opponent with innuendos, lies and questions

And no one cared enough to make corrections

Then Tweedledee thumbed his pink nose

And took his bromance in a different direction

Scroll to Continue

As he danced around with Tweedledum

And contemplated their unholy connection

Tweedledee wasn’t done with Tweeting-don

Although he was in alliance with Tweetledum

When Tweedledum set off his dirty bomb

With pretend concerned from Tweeting-don

For Tweetledee to get his way

And Tweeting-don to have his say

They must pretend there are no ties

As the strings attached implies

To break the look of their coalition

Tweeting-don must break with all tradition

To make it look like there’s no connection

He sent bombs per his ex-opponent’s suggestion

Tweeting-don, did not intend to hit anyone

Just empty warehouses

To make it appear

He and Tweedledee have no connection

The Presidential election 2016?

So now they're admitting Putin messed with the 2020 presidential election, and maybe others (senate, House etc.). Biden has put sanctions on Russia as pay back and I've read Putin plans to hit back.

They need to talk more about how Putin messed with the 2016 election, spreading lies about Hillary through social media. Most, if not all, of the reasons everyone loved to hate Hillary was because of the Putin lies they read on social media and gullibly believed.

So nice to have a civilized president in charge who doesn't yell at the reporters for asking him questions.

Posting this on AH & FB.

Hope you are continuing to take precautions to stay well. Blessings, dear friend . . .

C E Clark from North Texas on April 07, 2021:

What's keeping Putin? Why hasn't he come and hauled Trump away? Love this picture of him doing that, but why hasn't he been here to take Trump back home with him?

Understand he's (Trump) starting his own Twitter-like business so no one can ban his idiocy. Have to admit not having to hear about his latest Tweets every day has been a welcome change.

Blessings, dear friend. Hope all is well with you and that those you love are safe and healthy.

C E Clark from North Texas on February 13, 2021:

Well, Donny isn't tweeting anymore as he's been banned for life.

I do love your photo above, and now that TweedleDUM is out of service, I'm still waiting for Putin to come and collect him. Thought Putty would have been on the spot to help Donny get moved out of the White House immediately.

So strange to wake up to a quiet day with no crazy tweets or new disasters in the news. No Trump disasters anyway. Plenty of other issues, but hopefully they'll get worked out soon.

Posting this on AH & FB.

Hope you're planning to stay in where it's warm from the snow and cold and safe from the virus. Take care . . .

C E Clark from North Texas on January 08, 2021:

So glad your son has improved. The number of deaths from this awful virus are unbelievable. Nearly 4,000 a day now! Walter (your son) is so fortunate to be getting through it. I hope the long term effects will be minimal, or even better, nonexistent. I hope he will get better every day.

Wanted to put a comment on the Twitchy Thumb article, but I see Maven has taken the ability for people to leave comments on it away. Was going to remark on the social media places that have taken Trump's ability to tweet or say anything on Instagram or FB away.

Hope you and your new friend Walter are staying well also and taking precautions. The virus is raging terribly and it's going to get worse before it gets better with all the super spreading going on. A lot of new cases will likely come out of the mob that stormed the Capitol in D.C on Wednesday. Then all the holiday gatherings and travel. Likely the death rate will pass 4,000 a day as things are going.

Blessings to you dear friend, and to both of your Walters. Stay well.

Shyron E Shenko (author) from Texas on December 31, 2020:

Au fait, thanks for the comments and posting on FB & AH.

I also have high hopes for the justices that they will judge fairly in all cases before them.

Walter (my boyfriend) and I are well, my son Walter has had a really rough time with Covid-19 and it was touch and go for a while and he is just now coming out of it, but still on oxygen.

I do hope you are doing well.

Blessings and hugs.

C E Clark from North Texas on December 31, 2020:

Trump was surprised to discover that even his personal appointees to SCOTUS refused to hear his case. He has no case and he had expected to get preferential treatment since he put the last 3 justices on the court. Hopefully they will continue to keep politics out of their decisions.

Posting this to FB & AH.

Hope all is well with you and Walter. Thank you for the card. Keep yourselves safe and may God shower you with blessings . . .

C E Clark from North Texas on November 18, 2020:

Kinda looks like Putin is going to have to come and haul Trump away physically, since he refuses to accept he has lost, and refuses to leave the Whitehouse. Wouldn't you think a 74 year old man would be embarrassed and humiliated to behave the way he is? Of course, like most Republicans, Trump has no shame. No depth is too far to stoop. Wonder if he will grovel when security goes to drag him out of the Whitehouse . . .

He is currently a security risk because he won't allow Biden to get the briefings he needs to get up to date on foreign affairs, and of course he's trying to get another war started, this time with Iran.

Seems like Trump is determined to go out under such loathesome conditions that no president will have the slightest chance of beating him for the title of worst president in all of U.S. history.

Well, personally, I'm looking forward to some boredom, where our president doesn't screw up in the worst ways 4-5 times a day so that one has no hope of keeping up with his screwups.

Putin would likely come and get Trump -- except that Putin doesn't want him either. Trump has already delivered all he can, so now it's disposable time for Putin. Time to dump Trump.

Hope we can make it to Jan. 20 without any horrible drama. Posting this to FB & AH.

Blessings dear friend. Take care, and stay safe.

C E Clark from North Texas on September 03, 2020:

Seems the reports on Trump receiving and accepting, even asking for help to win the 2016 election are coming out, where he had hidden them previously. He's doing it again. That makes him a traitor to the U.S., and an illegitimate president. Since he got away with it last time and worked so well, Trump and his buddies (Putin for one) are going to do it again. Not really even trying to cover it up this time since neither his supporters nor the Republicans in charge are bothered by it. So get ready for 4 more years of a fake president.

Posting this to AH & FB.

Temperatures seem to be cooling down a little earlier than usual. That's fine with me. Hope you and Walter are doing well and staying safe. Blessings, dear friend . . .

C E Clark from North Texas on July 18, 2019:

Trump has put his foot in it again, but in truth (something foreign and mysterious to our president), he puts his foot in it several times everyday.

Telling "The Squad" to go back to their homelands and try to improve things there before working on the U.S. Thing is, the U.S. is home to 3 of the members of The Squad who were born here, and the 4th is as much a citizen of this country as Trump's parents were. Were Trump's 1st and 3rd wives naturalized citizens?

But otherwise, unaware by the stable genius, The Squad is doing exactly what Trump said they should -- trying to clean up the God Awful mess Trump is creating by the minute.

Trump would do better to try and figure out why our Union soldiers took control of all the airports around the country during the Revolutionary War. That is definitely a question for a "stable genius."

Hope all is well with you. Blessings, dear friend . . .

C E Clark from North Texas on March 06, 2019:

Have read recently that Russia has blackmail material on Trump and they are not all that happy that their fondest dream -- having sanctions dropped -- has not happened. Seems they are having a bit of buyer's remorse that may get worse with them publicizing some of Trump's more treasonous activities if they don't get what they invested in when they swung the election.

Hope all is well dear friend. Blessings . . .

C E Clark from North Texas on January 13, 2019:

Now that the FBI has come clean about investigating Trump for treason, that cartoon at the top of this poem is all the more meaningful. Might Putin haul Trump off to Russia where he can be exiled to avoid prison? I have heard/read rumors since before Trump was elected (which he really wasn't because it has been determined and publicized that Russia did actually mess with the votes in WI and MI among other places). So it turns out he's a traitor after all, and then he dares to insult our generals and former FBI directors who try to keep our country safe from people like Trump!

Hope all is well with you and that you are keeping warm. We're to have some very cold nights, then a brief warmer spell and then plunging temperatures starting again next Saturday night (22º). Blessings to you dear friend . . .

C E Clark from North Texas on December 31, 2018:

The photo suggests that Putin has come to carry Trump away, like guys used to carry their sweethearts away in more romantic times. But why would Putin carry Trump away? Who would want him around 24/7? He doesn't seem to have kept him long if he carried him away in the first place. After all, Trump is still here running this country into the ground. It seems to be a natural talent for him because he's doing it with such ease. His history shows that everything he touches turns to gold -- the smelly kind. Not a good thing.

The government is not a business nor meant to make a profit. It's purpose is to keep order, protect us, and basically serve the people's larger needs (clean water, infrastructure, etc.).

Trump had 6 bankruptcies, so he wasn't so good at business either. Who runs a gambling casino into the ground and goes broke?

Blessings dear friend. Hope 2019 will be a much better year.

C E Clark from North Texas on July 18, 2018:

Now you just need a picture of Trump following Putin around like a puppy. I think after Monday's news conference there can be no question that Trump is not Putin's poodle, but Putin's lap dog.

Hope you are staying inside during our 100+ temps and that all is well with you. Blessings dear friend. Take care . . .

Tweeting-Don said he would make America Great Again

But, wants to take us back to who knows when

For where he wants to lead there is no rhyme or reason

Maybe it is because it is for Putin he is pleasing.

Blessings my dear friend

C E Clark from North Texas on July 05, 2017:

I do like your reference "Tweedle-Don." Oh, it's Tweeting-Don. Sorry. He is sort of a fairy tale character -- like Voldemort.

Tweedle-Don is his own worst enemy. If he would behave with some dignity once . . . but of course that's out of the question given that he's 71 years old and set in his ways, right or wrong.

So well expressed as always. Blessings to you all dear friend.

Svetlana, thank you for the comments. I believe that Putin is making trump lots of money and trump’s love of money and lust for power is the driving force.

I do believe that they are in cahoots and I believe he has bought most of the congressmen, which is sad for our people who are decent, honest, upright hard working people.

I too love Stephen Colbert.

Blessings my friend

kallini2010 from Toronto, Canada on May 14, 2017:

It sounds very complicated. I don't know if Putin and Trump are in cahoots, but I despise both separately and together.

I love "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", which the only fake news program that I watch.

I laugh, but with a heavy heart.

It is such a sad - dark - macabre fairy tale a la 17th -18th century. Those stories were frightening and there were two mortal sins for children - curiosity and disobedience.

We are curious now, what will happen when we cross the Obedience Line?

Missy, I really appreciate your comments. I just heard this morning Mr. trump met secretly with TWO former presidents of Columbia at his resort in Florida. I guess he is selling America to the highest bidder. Seems to me he is ready to bring about the END OF TIME, I wonder if he ever read a bible.

Hillary still lost the presidency, and cheated Bernie Sanders out of the democrat primary. It was Bernie supporters that didn't vote for Trump or HRC that she lost the presidency.

Missy Smith from Florida on April 17, 2017:

A bit of humor attached to a truth, Shyron. They truly are these tweedles you characterize here in your poem. It amazes me that some still refuse to see the connection. How much of an in your face does it have to be? I think if there are these many questions, along with an investigation by the FBI that has been in motion since July of last year, I mean, what is it that people don't believe about it? It's such a frustrating time to be living in America. The ones who are investigating and the ones who work in the White House with this Bozo the Clown, need to buckle down and get rid of this fool and his compadres!

Wow...this perfect satire really hit home base. The names fit like two peas in a pod. So Trump merely did what his predecessor wanted to do in the first place. Yet all hailed Trump as if this an entirely new concept. And the band played on. Very cool poem! Happy Easter.

This is hilarious, Shyron. It also could be very close to the truth. Love the main picture and "Puppet on a String" by Elvis is a perfect choice for a song to accompany it. Loved this.

C E Clark from North Texas on April 13, 2017:

The Syrian airbase Trump bombed was up and working the next day and the runway wasn't damaged. There were some calls to Russia to make sure their most important equipment and their people wouldn't be there when the bombs landed.

Agree it was in part a show to convince the gullible that Trump really isn't sweet on Puttie, but I think it was also to let Kim Jong Un know that Trump would be just as likely to bomb N. Korea if they don't cooperate.

Well done.

Blessings to you all, dear friend. Take care . . .

When will we be free?

Of the imposter living in our white house

His cabinet reeks of foul play, hiding the truth. I smell a mouse!

Ah the good old days when Bush lied about Weapons Of Mass Destruction

At least he put America first, there were no Russian obstruction

I see prison time for the spy's who report to Putin

Or perhaps a firing squad, who'll shootem

Obama, I know you're happy and free

But we need you back desperately!!!!!!!
