The Vague Memory of a Summer Wave

I love to write poems and I enjoy everything that's poetic because poetry is always soothing and perfect for the soul.

I am like a sea wave

I am like a sea wave

The Forgotten Wave

See, over there?

I am this nascent wave,

which comes to the surfaces,

It approaches the shore,

I come from the depths of time.

I am wave and I move forward,

I tremble with impatience,

I stretch, I stretch,

I want to be, I want to live,

I take the air, I breathe,

I feel the light, generous, infinite,

And I advance sparkling without noise.

Wave among the waves,

I rub shoulders with my fellows,

I sail with them,

Like them, I am for a moment,

Scroll to Continue

Like them, I am the tiny eddy of a larger,

unfathomable whole,

And I move forward,

I can only move forward.

Then again I stretch, I stretch even more,

I fill myself, I grow,

Amplify myself, as much as possible,

I gorge myself, I stuff myself,

Still and more, until ... imbalance.

That's it, I am!

I stand up, I hurry,

I throw myself roaring

And I embrace the earth,

shatter myself at its feet,

Thunderously, Scatter myself

Immediately in quivering foam backwards

And already ...

Already, I am no more,

Than the memory of the wave that I was,

The vague memory of a summer wave!

Zeenat, in this poem you described a wave brilliantly..gave it life. I didn’t know the meaning of the word “nascent” so I had to look it up. Thank you for expanding my vocabulary.
