When finally the sun shone...

The morning fog froze.

It made branch and twig brilliant,

more glorious than Spring.

Spring is beautiful, no doubt.

Spring blossoms for some.

Not every branch and twig,

shares that winter's shine.



Each season has gold.

Only those who seek will find.

Eyes reward the brain.

Matter over mind

allows the brain to blossom.

Nice poetry, Demas. I had to look up the difference between “senryu” and “haku.” Subject matter plus added irony, it seems. I like the added irony. I have to give it a try.
