Blogging to make money tips, tricks and advice from a successful blogger who has been doing this since 2006.
Blogging is one of the easiest ways in making money online because it allows you to create an online business or blog website where people can visit and read what you have written. It's like having a virtual shop front where people can buy your products by following the links that you provide in your articles.
There are many benefits when you start a blog such as:
• You can build a list of email subscribers who are interested in learning more about your product/service. This is very beneficial especially if you sell something online.
• You can use your blog to promote affiliate offers which means you get paid every time someone buys a product after clicking on a link from your site.
• You can also use your blog to help others by providing them with valuable information and tips.
• You can even use your blog to grow your social media network.
You may ask yourself "What makes a good blog?" Well, there are some things that you need to keep in mind before you decide to start a blog.
The first thing that you need to think about is whether you want to start a personal blog or a professional blog. Personally, I would recommend starting a personal blog over a professional blog because personal blogs tend to generate more traffic than professional ones.
The second thing that you need to consider is the niche that you want to focus on. Do you want to start a blog about fashion, food, health, parenting, etc.? Choose a topic that interests you and write about it.
Another important factor that you need to take into consideration is your budget. Are you willing to spend thousands of dollars to start a blog? Or maybe you just want to start a blog at no cost?
If you don't have any idea how to start a blog, then here are some free tools that you can use to start a blog without spending any money.
WordPress - The most popular platform for bloggers. WordPress has millions of users around the world. It comes with lots of features including themes, plugins, and other useful resources.
Blogger - Another well-known platform for bloggers. It doesn't come with lots of features but it does offer free hosting.
Medium - A newer platform for bloggers. It was founded in 2011 and now has over 25 million monthly visitors.
Tumblr - A microblogging platform where you can post short messages called posts. Tumblr is used mostly by young adults.
Wix - A web design tool that helps you set up a simple website in minutes. It provides templates for different types of websites such as blogs, e-commerce stores, and portfolios.
Shopify - An eCommerce solution that allows you to easily set up your own store. It comes with a wide range of features such as payment gateways, shipping options, and much more.
Shopify is a great option if you want to start selling physical products online. However, it is not suitable for those who want to make their business an informational website only.
Blogging platforms will give you all the necessary tools to create a successful blog. If you choose to go with one of these platforms, make sure that you know what you're getting into.
There is a lot of competition out there so you'll need to work hard to stand out from the crowd.
Once you've decided on a blogging platform, you can move on to setting up your blog.
Step 1: Create Your Blog Name
Your blog name should be catchy and easy to remember. Make sure that you include keywords in your blog name. For example, if you're planning to sell clothes, you could call your blog something like "Clothes With Style".
Step 2: Pick A Domain Name
You'll need to purchase a domain name for your blog. You can do this through a company like GoDaddy.com.
Step 3: Set Up Your Hosting Account
Now that you have purchased a domain name, you'll need to install WordPress onto your hosting account. This process usually takes less than 5 minutes.
Step 4: Install WordPress Plugins
Plugins are extensions that add functionality to your site. There are hundreds of plugins available for WordPress. Some examples include Google Analytics, Woo Commerce, and Visual Composer.
Step 5: Add Content To Your Site
The last step is adding content to your new blog. You can either do this manually or hire someone to help you.
If you decide to hire someone, try a freelancing website or platform. I hired someone there to write me a few articles and the process was easy and cost-effective.
