Francois Groenewald is an author from South Africa. He writes poetry in his spare time.
I wonder what my paradise has confronted today
I know he is destined for greatness
He lanced away at his feathers
He made a retributed statement that day
and made me smile
What if he could be the one?
What if he could save us?
I don't think he knows how.
I don't think.
I am by the ocean so far.
I am by the living creature itself
Blue just like my eyes
Blue just like the sun used to be
Blue just like the sky is now
There was no name in the letter
I assumed that it had come from her
That time I didn't know was empty
and the time I assumed correctly is wrong
What if I didn't capture her this day?
Could I sail away?
No you could not, he said.
There are beasts in this village and mountains instead.
Don't cry for me river.
I don't suppose you landed the part I wanted you to be did you?
So what, I said.
What difference does it make?
Any at all?
So don't be a fiend and do your worst sea of mine.
I want you to.
