My Monsoon Dream

It rains heavily

We love to call it 'the Monsoon magic'

I do enjoy a splendid splash

I am alone in my tiny room.

It rains heavily and

the droplets fall on the windowpane

I do enjoy the Monsoon bonanza

I am alone in my own world.

The shower is tempting

My mood is cheerful

I do enjoy the spark of lightning

I am alone in my own den.

The thunder is thrilling

My time is chilling

Scroll to Continue

I have a cup of coffee, hot

I am alone in my own safe zone

The cold is so captivating that

I like to venture the delightful drizzle

I wish to munch some roasted nuts along

I am alone in my shivering journey

The mizzle, music to my ears and

misty, my mansion looks now

I am on a romantic stroll

And I am alone in my marvel land.

My dears, I am in a wonderland fondly called 'Malabar'

I am alone in my marvelous monsoon dream!

Wow, it is so nice to hear that my poem literally took you to your childhood days, the most precious and enchanting period of one's life. No doubt, the rain brings us lot of cheers plus certain lost memories of our golden past mostly related to our school days or childhood. Your old village, the sceneries, the green pastures and the delicious dishes made by your loving mother, all these are so sweet and never will fade. Thank you for this wonderful comments Nazeer Bhai. Keep on reading. All the best.

Monsoon carries nostalgia, love and several other feelings to us. For me, rainy days are for a return trip to the vast grazing fields of my childhood through memories . There I can meet my parents, my friends, and other dearest persons in my life. there I would have my favourite dishes which can be only made by my mom.....The fragrance of your lines taking me into that misty memories once again. thanks a lot dear friend for such a great, beautiful poem....
