The Chasm: A Poem

I see you standing alone on the other side,

So, I reach across the canyon,

But my hands can't brush your skin,

Will we ever hold one another?

Or just whisper across the way,

As the wind carries echoes softly,

Loving from a distance,

Carries me onward,

But will it cause me to stumble and fall?

Will I crash on jagged rocks,

Before I taste your sweet presence,

And call you as my own?

The poem is beautiful and you were able to find an image that fits perfectly. There are lines that could be stand alone and have a lot meaning.
