The Top 5

Those were my personal favorites that have a catchy title, amazing writing skills and a blood-thrilling story-line.

  • 1# Saving Elliot by northbynorth

God, this story was the most realistic, funny and cliché story - in possibly the most beautiful way - I have ever read. This one is definitely a book you can relate to, about how 'love' is not just simply a word for some and how terrifying and thrilling love could be. It has that sense of humor that will bring a huge smile to your face while you're still recovering from the heartbreaking scene you just read, it will make you growl in frustration at the author while you're still wishing that this book could never end. This one will forever be my favorite. (Link to story below!)

“I keep trying to think of ways to make myself hate you.” “Kind of hard to do when you're in love with me, isn't it?” He said. * * * * Meet Elliot Jensen; she’s stubborn, intelligent, sarcastic, short-tempered and ambitious. Meet Elliot Fintry, he’s impulsive, rude, cold, devious, and reckless. It might be annoying having to share the same name as the person you hate, but it’s even more annoying having to share the same house as them. He’s everything she hates, so why does he make her heart pound at just the thought of him? Winter and summer. Fire and water. North and south. Heaven and hell. This isn’t a love story, this is a story about love.

  • 2# Red Leather by help-me-think-of-one

If you're a fan of Mystery/Thriller books then this one will be the perfect read for you. This book isn't like any other book you ever read, trust me, this one is pure genius. It's written from the villain's perspective herself and it will surely send chills down your spine. Don't forget to make sure who your real friends are and who are secretly planning your dreadful death after reading this story.(Link to story below!)

Renee Griffin is gorgeous, loveable, undeniably popular, and has an uncanny ability of getting everything she wants. She is a cunning seductress, a loving daughter, a prima donna socialite, and a cold-blooded murderer. This is not a story for the faint hearted. This is the story of a 21st Century psychopath. "'You’ve killed,' he breathed. His eyes had grown big, so big that they barely fit his face anymore. He didn’t resemble Nathan at all. He was pathetic, and cowardly, and weak. 'I have.' Silence and darkness threatened to crush us both, the sound of his uneven breathing piercing through my eardrums. I didn’t bother hiding anything in my demeanour – it was a relief to let the darkness out, to let it slip out of every pore and every cell. He was going to die. His next words were quiet, so quiet, that it could have been drowned out with the faint sound of cheers coming from the stadium. 'You’re a monster.'"

  • 3# The End of Summer by makeandoffer

Here's another mystery/thriller story for you guys though this one is completely different. This book is absolutely and utterly HILARIOUS, but at the same time so terrifying it will almost make you piss your pants from fear. It will also make you cry and sniffle like a baby at the end (yeah I've been there). The writer is a Goddess and I absolutely recommend checking out all of her books because her stories are just...out of this world!(Link to story below!)

Summer Jacobs knew full well about her town’s tradition. Every year at the end of the summer, a party would be held on school grounds without the knowledge of the parents or the teachers. It had been happening since before Summer was born and never once was anyone the wiser. This year however, everyone was going to find out. Summer had planned a weekend of alcohol, bad decisions and horrendous photo’s which she would later un-tag herself from on Facebook. A whole weekend with her friends at the biggest party of the year, without any worries or parents telling her what to do. So how she ended up trapped in the school with a deranged psycho killing her classmates off one by one, she will never know. It wouldn’t have been as bad if she was trapped on her own. She would have been happier to face the lunatic solo rather than be trapped with a guy who kept using the life or death situation to make passes at her. His theory was being so close to death should definitely loosen her up, and by ‘loosen up’ he definitely meant ‘get naked.’ Along with his friends who between them had the IQ of a baby tree stump, an outcast who probably still had Spiderman bed sheets and the cheerleaders who were more worried about all the blood staining their new white jeans, they had to somehow make it out of there alive. And to think, Summer’s biggest worry that weekend was waking up with a brutal hangover…

  • 5# Shuffle by defend

This one is a little different from the others since it's just really a collection of short stories, but God, each and everyone of these stories will make stop for a second and just think. Each story is inspired by song - and the name of each song is the chapter title - but the writer took the true meaning of the songs to a hole new level. These stories will make you sad, some will make you happy and they will all make you rethink your opinion of every single person you know. It will make you want to know the story of every single person you meet, even strangers passing by you. This one is a must read.(Link to story below!)

DarlingDamnable on November 27, 2017:

Personally, my favourites are WARNING! Fairy Tales by RobThier and The Evolution of The Silenced by a very best friend of mine, Gel-The-Creator. WARNING! Fairy Tales is a dark, unique and hilarious take on famous fairy tales and nursery rhymes, that'll make you pee yourself laughing and perhaps think twice about your favourite bedtime stories... Just be warned, to quote RobThier himself, the book is "not appropriate for supernatural beings under the age of 377 (excluding vampires and werewolves)".

Meanwhile, The Evolution of The Silenced is a genius science fiction novel written with such grace, tact and thoughtfulness that it couldn't have been a work of anyone but the awesomely talented Gel-The-Creator. If you're looking for an interesting scifi novel to grab you by the brain cells and not let go, you've found it! And don't worry about being ignored, as Gel ALWAYS responds to comments. Although I must warn you, after reading this book, you may never look at plants the same way again.

I write a fair bit myself, actually, although I hardly think any of my works would qualify as good. If you're interested, my username is DarlingDamnable... Anyway, I took the time to write this whole comment, so here's the link to WARNING! Fairy Tales:

And now, The Evolution of The Silenced:

Thinking about writing on WattPad, depending. Cool list

Ethan Digby-New on February 10, 2015:

I haven't read many books on Wattpad, mainly because it's hard to find stories that have some substance, and writers with actual writing ability. However, I do tend to notice that there are those diamonds in the rough among the sea of sub-par Wattpad stories. I do believe that these five could be apart of those few diamonds, and I look forward to looking into them more.
