Some Other Time (poem)
What was it that my heart forgot to see
That cast you out to stand within the rain
Some other time such madness I’d restrain
Some other time I’d hold you close to me
-
How could sweet love have blossomed into pain
What we set loose our future pays the fee
Some other time a kiss who would set us free
Some other time when nothing we’d explain
-
Recall those times when laughter eased our fall
Those times when every tear was one of Joy
Some other time when we were in our prime
-
Alone you cry now waiting for my call
Those raindrop now a memory destroy
While I am wishing for some other time

Mh, I missed this one, maybe when I was away in the hospital. I am glad I found it, although it makes the heart hurt and that video just adds to the tears falling. You were still on the kissing poetry, I see.
Yes, remember when . . . time is a funny thing isn't it dear one.
Voted Way up God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Love has a way of making us happy or sad. We have to move on from the pain and embrace new beginnings. Lovely, poem albeit tinged with sadness. A true poet you are.

Sad and poignant. Sometimes thinking back is a pleasure, other times it feels like torture.

Sad yet poignant. I love the photo you chose to go with this poem. My heart breaks for this type of situation. The flow of the poem, sonnet, is beautiful.
