Silent Males

I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.

Male Abuse

Male Abuse

Male Abuse

Young girl! Woman! Stop now! It is not Ok to slap or punch a male

Where do you get that this type of abuse on the opposite sex is OK?

No you cannot verbally abuse him either, as society turns a blind eye on male domestic and public abuse

Men are tough, they can take a beating everyone say

Until their flesh and mind is broken and they end up under clay

While women right movements empower their own, strengthen their daughters and take power from their sons.

Now an abused dad has no one to express his feelings to regarding his abusive wife and he drinks and grabs the rifle gun

Blue lights and ambulance scream, but it is too late, He is floating in confusion about what he has done

Boys, don’t hit girls they were told from growth. But no one told the girl not to hit the boy, double standards at work.

Little girls have some nasty things to tease timothy about

They mock is 4 eyes walking home even when he takes another route

Male Abuse

Most times their ridicule of the opposite sex are met by adults with cherry mild remarks

“Oh they are only girls. Timothy needs to toughen up!”

But yet spewing equal right and equal treatment for all sexes.

This kind of hypocrisy brings vexes on many faces

In class they mock him and say he is just a little sissy

But they dare not mess with the boy and his friends who are the school bully.

Timothy cries by himself locked in his room at nights

Scroll to Continue

He hides his shame and tucks his tears in his stuffed animal

Little does his parents know that these bully girls have broken him mentally?

Now he may grow up hardened to females or goes off with a shot gun one day on his loving wife because his anger spewed and he does not know how to control his.

It was certainly great to see you writing again.

Take it slowly & know my prayers are with you.

God is walking with you.

John Hansen from Gondwana Land on March 18, 2021:

I am glad you highlighted this hidden problem, Clive. Yes, boys and men can be victims of abuse from women but are often stigmatised as sissies or wimps for speaking up. Thanks for writing this poem.

So very true my friend.

Thant's fine. I have not time to read a lot as I am battling my own illness. Don't have much time for writing, I hope God sees me through.

Santas Lost Pup Chills. Good break down of the line.

Abuse and bullying have no gender. One hat fits all.

But Most women turn a blind eye to men being abused. It makes them feel some kind of sick power.

erikmama on March 18, 2021:

Male victims of abuse so often do not speak up because of the stigma. I love your poem and hope one day the world will understand power and control and that anyone can be a victim. Great work.

Bill Holland from Olympia, WA on March 18, 2021:

The problem is real and it needs to see the light of day through more writings like this one. Good on ya, my friend!

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on March 18, 2021: case you didn't see this one.

I used a sentence from your book.

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on March 18, 2021:

Great to bring attention to this.

You are my generation we only heard boys should not hit girls.

It is never right to hit or have abusive behavior towards anyone.

I recently saw a woman ridicule her husband in public and lost all respect for her.

I felt really bad for him.

Bullys are the worse. We seem to have alot of that here with the kids and cellphones make it skyrocket.

Thanks for sharing.

Pamela Oglesby from Sunny Florida on March 18, 2021:

I absolutely agree with you, Clive. Abuse, including mocking, of any kind from a male of female is unacceptable. The Bible tells us exactly how to treat each other. It even states if your enemy is hung, feed him.

I don't think the women's movement gives women the right to be abusive physically or verbally.
