Sexy Girl

I am an artist, designer, photographer and writer. See more of my work on cmariearts.

You're a sexy girl

Have everyone at your feet

Men stand and run to you

Whomever you meet

A power you never knew you had

Until some deceit

Landed you in this cave

Made you take your seat

So you prim and make pretty

And smile in the mirror

Walking in boots and fashion

Glamour and glitter

You want the attention

Don't pretend like you don't

People would kill and pay millions

Ending up poor and broke

They say soon you'll turn forty

It will all go away

All the friends and all the fame

They will all stray

So be thankful for what you have right now

Because nothing lasts forever

Know that one day your image will shatter

The ties will severe

Blending perspective and words, that truly is your style

Searching through your treasure trove of hubs

I might be here for a while.

Depth has real beauty,

Intelligence and conversation go hand in hand.

There is nothing more sexy than to hold an intelligent conversation with beautiful woman.

I would hold your hand any day.

Much love

Michael

Robwrite thank you for reading and commenting. Yeah, aging can be tough on women. I'm glad you liked it.

Rob from Oviedo, FL on December 30, 2011:

Caroline; This is excellent. It's good to get a young woman's perspective on what beauty is like. Recently on old girlfriend of mine was lamenting how much she missed the attention she got 10 or 20 years ago. Your hub summed up what she was saying.

Well done,

Rob

Epi lol I agree that beauty comes from within through humor, intelligence, and personality! Thank you for stopping by to another one of my hubs! Great to see you as always.

...well I am a sexy man because all of my innate hotness (and it's quite a bit - lol lol lol) comes from within and that goes the same way for any woman too - the beauty, the intelligence and sense of humor has to come from within - no matter how beautiful you may be on the outside - lake erie time ontario canada 5:47pm

Thanks Stessily for reading and commenting on my poem. I actually hate this topic because like my other article that I wrote about superficiality it can frustrate me. There needs to be depth in people in order for them to have real beauty and to be interesting. Love your comment!

Caroline, It isn't easy to think clearly when adulatory phrases are applied to a person as though he/she is the ultimate in the looks department. I like it that you say "be thankful for what you have right now because nothing lasts forever." That statement actually applies to many situations, which is not surprising because you present scenarios which have many layers.

A telltale poem presented with your usual flair for details and grand designs.

Kind regards, Stessily

@ Charmgirl I agree with you! Thanks for reading and your comment. :)

@ David thank you for your kind and heartfelt words about my poetry. I am glad that you liked it!

Physical beauty, when constrained by the peculiar view of the day, is indeed fleeting, but true beauty is deeper than skin, and more enduring than youth, but from your writing I would guess you understand that.

Your poetry is forceful and dynamic. You have a great way with the spoken word - this rolls off the tongue like music.

Thank you for sharing.

You are true carolinemd21, you brought out the harsh realities very effectively.

SubRon lol thank you for the compliment. I'm flattered you called me a high school sophomore... I've been out of high school for a very long time! I'm glad you liked my poem. It's actually about society and it's views on beauty also through the eyes of someone who is beautiful. Always a pleasure to see you!

James W. Nelson from eastern North Dakota on December 27, 2011:

Well, Caroline, I like your poetry, really like the pic you put with it, but your new profile picture--wow! Sexy girl is right. You went from highschool sophomore to knockout model with one click! But I have to wonder if that's what you meant to do....
