Scent of an Empress

You –whose lips scribbled a thousand kisses on

My soul; sung a hundred ballads in my Heart, come!

You –a bouquet of vermilion roses, flooding my

Core with a river of Joy, come!

You –who made my eyes gaze at the colour of words;

Danced with fireflies in the hue of moonlight,

Permeating the shooting stars of heaven, come!

You – an Empress steeped with berries in a river of

Wine, holding dialogue in the court of Troy, to address

The grandeur of beauty non-pareil, come!

I see You, cheeks tasting the sublimity of charisma,

Smile aligned to the synergy of the sun;

Words sweetly intoxicated by the grapes of Tuscany,

Scripting the resonance of symphonies, in each beating pulse.

You --that sweet redolence of the Jasmine; that healing

Solace of twinkling stars, drawing me inwards,

To Your opulence and allure, come!

Celestial Light

It is enough that You weave a tapestry of Light;

It is enough that I immortalise Your elegance,

With a deserving brush and easel blessed.

The Dao follows its natural order,

Painting the rainbow with a pageantry of shades.

You carved your lips, on the fire in my Essence,

Erasing the ‘nights’ in the agony of my longing.

Your sweet gaze and hazel-brown eyes,

Tugged fiercely at the dragon in my soul.

Lost in my amnesia, I encountered a haziness of dreams,

Your cute gentleness, churning my core into

Sugarcane juice. Aye, what a banquet, in this garden of Delight!

Sweet Tenderness, in this hallucinatory state, I am

Your oasis, with the sand as my destiny.

But Your breath is the sand; my oasis, Your perennial nectar.

A Heart of Purpose

I see You, walking on the lap of moonlight; riding

On the crest of tomorrows; pulling at the carousel

Of the sun. You take me to the

Wakefulness, of another virgin dawn.

You are in the beauty of Dunia; in the fire of Jahannam.

The Light of Jannah; in the pillars of Hades.

Your sweet cheeks adorn the sacred drops, of my river of tears;

Beautify the agonies, in the vast emptiness of my abyss.

You – who painted the lapis lazuli of heaven for my Delight, come!

Wisdom from the Master

"Precious beyond measure is God's Will,

None can undo its power.

Precious beyond measure are man's tears,

They alone can hope God's hour.

Precious beyond measure is man's love,

Unveiling his golden face.

Precious beyond measure is God's gift,

His all-fulfilling Grace." - Sri Chinmoy

I appreciate you saying this. About Guruji, spiritual masters are said to be flawless and their words speak directly to the soul. Sri Chinmoy says that when people read his quotes, he feels it and inwardly helps them. Much gratitude

I love how you craft your words! Dancing with fireflies, twinkling stars, the resonance of symphonies, walking on the lap of moonlight, and so many more of your words create mental imagery that is sublime. Thanks! I am so glad that I could still leave a comment. Others on my notification list, I could not do so for some reason.

My Dearest Brother,

I told you recently that Spirituality is very easy, but only if we go the sweet and charming way ... the way of the spiritual Heart ... the child's way ... the pure way.

Acid will give you a trip all right, but it is impure and has harmed many. That is from the mouth of Guruji himself, as many acid beauties, came to him in the sixties. Ram Dass and others tried it. It is full of dangers and the dangerous way to Yoga, or oneness with the Great White Eagle.

Now performance poets embellishes for effects and that's a performance piece. Dunia is an Arabic word and it implies 'worldliness.' I have used it here to say that the world is beautiful. Jahannam and Hades are the same. Jannah is Paradise, not Heaven. It is the purer region of the soul.

Venkatachari M is a very loving and warm-hearted Indian man with pious virtues, who happens to be my friend. To digress, I wrote a piece called Identity today (Just finished) it shows how souls grow through struggle and strife, looking for happiness, like the Deer, not knowing that the musk they seek, is already within.

Is this journey necessary? Yes! Yes! How else will we grow? Ask Covid-19. Lol. Adversity is the candle of God's Love. Peace.

Lovely, Brother Eric.

More blessings to you! Peace and blessed Sunday.

Mr. Happy from Toronto, Canada on November 15, 2020:

"Venkatachari M" - So, he's not your brother per say I am guessing. Thus, who is Mr. Venkatachari M? Just curious since You talked about him.

Were You ever a teacher? Because You kinda have to be, haha!! Who's Dunia? "You are in the beauty of Dunia".

I was able to hunt-down "Jahannam" but not "Dunia" LOL

"The Light of Jannah; in the pillars of Hades" - Are we talking about the same "Hades" here? "Hades (/ˈheɪdiːz/; Greek: ᾍδης Hádēs; Ἅιδης Háidēs), in the ancient Greek religion and myth, is the god of the dead and the king of the underworld, with which his name became synonymous.[1] Hades was the eldest son of Cronus and Rhea, although the last son regurgitated by his father."

Your poetry is like ... a short acid-trip. That's it. I was trying to find a fitting explanation and "short acid trip" hits the nail right on the head, for me. I suppose I should mention that that is a good thing, for me once again. I cannot speak for others.

Since I do not indulge in eating acid much lately, your poetry seems to be the next best thing. Haha!! Cheers!
