Poem to My Twin Sister (7th Grade)

I'm an identical twin & love every minute of it. My sister and I are best friends & have enjoyed twin pranks throughout our life.

Tribute to my Twin Sister

I Couldn't resist putting up this old poem I wrote for my twin sister. I wrote it in seventh grade and had it nailed to our bedroom wall. It's not the best poem but it's the thought that counts.

Tribute Poem for Twin Sister

Twins are forever

twins are for Keeps

They come in all ways

cute or like creeps

Their the sibling you tell secrets to

In faith they won't tell who knows who

Their glad when you are happy

their sad when you are blue

And when you've had a tough day

They'll love and care for you

Thanks for sharing that additional information, which is so very inspiring to say the least. God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Thanks Faith for you sweet comment. It is pretty cool that I wrote this when I was in middle school. I may have acted cool in front of my friends but Laura was my best friend. As we got older we openly showed how much we loved each other. I think our deep connection and close bond teaches others about unconditional love. God uses our love for each other as a ministry. A ministry to teach about his love for all of us and to share it with each other.

Oh how very precious this poem is, expressing the love of your twin sister. This just touched my heart, and I am glad you did post it here on HP. God bless you. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Thanks Thelma-I appreciate your votes. It's not the best writing but it was the thought that counted. I love my twin sister so much! I'm so blessed to have her.

Thelma Alberts from Germany on August 26, 2012:

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Voted up and awesome.

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on April 15, 2012:

Ya frogfish-we have been known to indulge in some twin sister shenanigans, especially when we were younger. I have written some of them here on HubPages. Thanks for reading my poem to sis, I appreciate it.

frogyfish from Central United States of America on April 14, 2012:

Your poem was really sweet! I'll bet you both were sweet too, and a bit rascally about tricking people...I have trouble with identical twin adults at my work in that fashion. Thank you for sharing your delightful poem!

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on March 03, 2012:

Thanks for coming by Ron. I crack up every time I look at this poem. It's pretty cool that I wrote my feelings about my twin but let's be honest; It's not the best poetry but again, it's the thought that counts. You don't have to be a twin to have that great relationship and I'm glad you have it with your sister. So glad I found you on HubPages Ron.

James W. Nelson from eastern North Dakota on March 03, 2012:

Hello, Minnetonka Twin, my next door neighbor and newest follower. Thank you for that, and I'll be clicking your follow next. I really liked this poem to your twin sister. It's wonderful to have a sibling, but twin siblings must be nearly out of this world. I have a sister too, an older one, and I really like her, and her husband.

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on February 18, 2012:

Thanks for checking out my tribute poem for my sister. Being a twin is an incredible blessing and one that I thank God for everyday. I think as I've gotten older, I've realized how lucky I am to have a best friend in my twin sister.

NightFlower on February 17, 2012:

I've known twins but do not have one set of twins in my family and if I do they are distant, distant relatives but it has always looked like fun to have someone so much like yourself or to look at someone else who looks identical to you. Cute poem -smile.

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on November 14, 2011:

I was gonna ask you if your a twin with your cute profile picture. I can't imagine not having a twin. Life is doubly fun and it's hard to feel lonely when you have that built in best friend. I wrote this poem in 7th grade :-)

Thanks for coming by Ky.

Kyndall Smith from Milwaukee on November 13, 2011:

This is so cute and really awesome. I have an identical twin sister and I can totally relate to your poem. =)

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on June 03, 2011:

Thanks N.E.-Ya, absolutely! This poem is about that sibling or friend that is there for us no matter what. Thanks so much for reading:)

N E Wright from Dover, Delaware on June 03, 2011:

Minnetonka,

To me this poem is about sisters in general. LOL.

It sounds like my little sister and me. I love it.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mickey Dee-You are too sweet and make me blush with your nice comments. I love that you are a button pusher. I like that about you:) hee hee. As a matter of fact, since I am two minutes older, Laura is more identical than I since she came last.

Micky Dee on October 05, 2010:

You have maximum yield with minimum words! Congrats! You are a pro! This is beautiful and I must admit- I'm a button pusher! I pushed all four buttons above those comments! Great job! Tell me though- is one of you more identical than the other?

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on September 22, 2010:

Yep, Laura and I have always been really protective over eachother too. OOHH, your nephews sound so sweet. Have a great day Tim. :)

Simple Tim on September 22, 2010:

Sounds Great!Minnetonka Twin ..we often underestimate the value of siblings when we are kids...but I guess you must have a special bond with your sister.I know because my twin nephews are adorbale, they fight when they are alone...but they also take care of each other every other time, its adorble watching them.

Bye for now. Tim.

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on September 21, 2010:

Thank You so much Simple Tim. Even though we sometimes pretended we didn't like eachother as much as we did back then, she thought it was nice that I wrote an ode for her. Thanks for reading my 7th grade poem.

Simple Tim on September 21, 2010:

Beautiful poem Minnetonka Twin I am sure your twin sister is very proud you and this sweet poem!

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on August 04, 2010:

kaltopsyd-Thanks, I am so glad you liked it. You can tell I'm only in 7th grade, but it's the thought that counts.
