Poem: Tossing Love Into The Air

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

Tossing love into the air is a short poem about how receiving a surprise bouquet of roses tosses love into the air.

This is in response to a Hubpages word prompt challenge created by Brenda Arledge.

"Love Is In The Air - by John Paul Young"

Poem Created with Prompt

Below is my short poem created with the word prompt, "Love".

It is a short one, but that's all that is need to get those creative juices flowing.

I hope you enjoy it.

I have posted a link to the Word Prompt Challenge if you want to give it a shot.

"Tossing Love Into The Air"

A magical beauty touches her heart

with his breathtaking surprise,

tossing love into the air

with a bouquet of multicolor roses.

If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden.

BRENDA ARLEDGE (author) from Washington Court House on March 11, 2021:

Greg,

Thank you so much!

I've been writing poems for daily challenges on Twitter & there isn't alot of room allowed for a poem...so I'm learning short ones work best.

Take care.

greg cain from Idaho, USA on March 11, 2021:

Nice! I love the simple, short message with mountains of meaning, Brenda. Great work on a great prompt.

Manatita44,

Thank you!

It's those simple things in life that seem to touch one's heart.

That one was inspired from the first word prompt.

Enjoy the little things.

manatita44 from london on February 21, 2021:

'A magical beauty touches her heart.' Sweet and charming!

Vanita,

Thank you.

I had no idea you had a channel on YouTube.

I akways love to see how others embrace their poetry into words. Songs & videos seem to be a trending way.

I enjoyed your work & will look at more.

Have a great day.

Chitrangada Sharan from New Delhi, India on February 19, 2021:

Great going, Brenda !! Loved it.

I already have two poems on Love on HubPages. Here is a link to a love song I had written and composed during my one of my practice sessions that later got recorded and presented in programmes :

Amani,

Here is the one I wrote

BRENDA ARLEDGE (author) from Washington Court House on February 15, 2021:

Ann,

It seems that when I see a prompt ( either visual picture or word) flashes spark in my mind.

I love taking part in them on twitter & Allpoetry.

I thought it would be fun here. It breaks up our normal routine for a moment...letting us have a bit of fun.

Take care.

BRENDA ARLEDGE (author) from Washington Court House on February 15, 2021:

Misbah,

Sometimes the best poems are written on the spur of the moment.

Keep writing.

When I provide word prompts please create your own new write to post under your Hubpages profile so you can gain readers.

Then copy & paste to my comment section ( if comment is still open).

I had hoped I would be able to read everyone's work on prompts, but I guess this comment thing might be problematic.

Just have fun with it and post on your site so you gain readers and ket me know.

Have a great day.

Love can, love will,

Love endures still,

Steadfast 'til the end,

Love will never bend.

Great having any sort of prompts for writing, Brenda! I like the visual best but I often 'Take a word..' and use it for stories or poems, in a series that has been going for a few years now.

It's great to encourage people to do this and using it on Twitter, you probably reach many people. A great encouragement for a bit of fun and a good exercise in writing.

Thanks Brenda

It just popped in my mind suddenly

I wrote this poem making this comment

I never prepared it before

BRENDA ARLEDGE (author) from Washington Court House on February 14, 2021:

Misbah,

Thank you.

I Love your take on this one.

My favorite part is Love is the never melting candle in darkness.

It certainly can bring one up & take one down.

It can also make us forget every mistake.

A very good take on the aspect of love.

I hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day.

Take care.

Misbah from The Planet Earth on February 14, 2021:

Thanks for sharing Brenda

#Love can make you fly in the air,

Love can make you drop down

Love is the never melting candle in darkness,

Love can make you see stars in the day

Love can make you a stubborn

Love can make you cry

Love can make you forget every mistake of them

Love will make your soul alive

Dedicated to all my supporters on HubPages including you Brenda and of course Pamela she has always pampered me so much

Thanks for your love and support,

You people are helping me grow here

Blessings
