On Love and Light

Love is the revelation of life and life is a manifestation of Love. They are synonymous with each other, as the ocean and its waves. They are the instruments of the Absolute - not separate - but as day turns into night and the sunrise is followed by sunset, so too, Love and Light, are the very pulse of Being.

Consciousness is all-pervading and you and I, are all part of this miracle of Love, this vast Citadel of unspoken beauty, with so many challenges, variants and pageantry of colours. They are all in symmetry with the One who wishes to express Itself, in this Divine Lila or game. Love and Light are crucial to it.

Light awakens, illumines, enlightens ... it motivates and kisses our Hearts with sweetness. Amanda Gorman exemplified nothing but Light to us at the inauguration of President Biden and Light, like poetry, is nothing but the voice of the soul, expressing Itself in myriad ways, the rays of the same one Spirit. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

O Radiant Light, my Illumining Light! Come!

Light descends with the blossoming dawn,

Paving a path with good intentions. Some

Souls remain asleep, and receptivity is lacking.

The awakened jump, on the carousel of illumining rays.

Light is like a canyon, breathtakingly beautiful

In its grandeur, but a burning fire of transformation.

Smoldering the dross of human foibles, It ushers

In a new order, of ever-rising tomorrows.

Like Amanda’s astute soul’s urgent call for harmony,

Scroll to Continue

Light is youthful, vibrant, ever anew … dynamic. Fighting

Against a plethora of lethargic old ideas, it yearns to

Soar, like a bird, to the glistening sun of tomorrow’s vision.

O doomsayer of darkness, fly away, fly!

O radiant Light, my illumining Light! Come!

Love, Singing Its Own songs

Love’s kiss, is its own artistry, there’s

No need for a brush or easel, to paint the

Effulgent beauty of the Heart, nor eloquence

To speak, of the silent sweetness of the soul.

Love’s Light is its own wisdom. Why

Quarrel about the taste of mangoes,

When within is the ambrosial taste,

From the nectar of the Unknowable?

Love’s sacrifice is its own flower, cascading

Its redolence in the Hearts of true Lovers;

In the charmed innocence of a child’s smile;

In the blood-red fortitude of a mother’s concern.

Love’s Delight is in the soul of Itself, singing the songs

Of the Formless, in Its highest aspect of visible forms.

You see, Ralph, I did and do not have Faith in you for nothing. I have always seen that beautiful side in you, Bro.

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear the sad news. My condolences. If it helps, my sister in Texas has it too. Cancer for some 20 years and Stage 4 for about seven. She's a fighter and we also pray.

She's my youngest and says that Pearl, the first sister, couldn't have taken it. She praises God for giving it to her instead. She still runs her Driving school, although she has bad days and trustworthy people helping her.

My prayers to you and loved one. Good to know she's fighting it. My sister goes to MD Anderson, some say it's numero uno of the top six. Om Shanti! (Peace)

Ralph Schwartz from Idaho Falls, Idaho on January 25, 2021:

Greeting my long lost brother! I have been absent for more months than I can count as my dearest soulmate has been fighting (and defeating, I might add) Stage 4 Cancer. Your words are such as inspiration to the world and I always find myself basking in the beautiful light that you create. As you always seem to so eloquently say it, pure love is the central tenant to all things which hold meaning among the race of human beings. I'm blessed to share in your words of wisdom, peace, and harmony. Blessed be !

Welcome, Joy56 and thank you so much! - Manatita

Ann, I thank you and yes, I echo your kind sentiments. Peace.

Aww, Dee. That's a powerful piece. I think it goes with the other line, no? Lol. I haven't looked yet. Lots of Love and stay blessed.

Indeed, Bill, indeed! Some doomsayers are still out there. Love to you and extended family. Peace.

True indeed, Jason.

I'll go even further. Some humans think they're in charge, but there's an inner 'order' that cannot be conquered, as it comes from the Absolute and will ultimately win. Om Shanti!

Pamela, your piece is always a joy to read as is your sentiments. Glory be!

Aww, Linda, so glad I lifted you up. I know that you, Bill and Eric tends to cover the weekends, so I like to include a bit of Joy for you on Monday mornings. Much Love. - Manatita

Jason Behm from Cebu, Philippines on January 25, 2021:

The light could give us vigor and the energy to live but there are instances in life which dim it or maybe eclipse it, such as bad happenings or incidents. It is really a challenge to keep its brightness. It goes dim and sometimes it shines. but what is important is you don't put out its light.

Bill Holland from Olympia, WA on January 25, 2021:

The perfect message for these troubled times, my friend.

Love to you always!

Dora Weithers from The Caribbean on January 25, 2021:

No wonder you're so impressed with Amanda. She's your kind of light bearer. "Love’s sacrifice is its own flower" is my take away thought for today. These poems speak powerfully to the exploding nature of love and light within us. Thanks for the inspiration.

Ann Carr from SW England on January 25, 2021:

Love and Light, both essential for our being and therefore to be valued and welcomed. No room for negativity.
