Mystery of Life - Lost Puzzle Piece

I'm interested in social issues, relationships, problems of daily living, jobs, exercise, poems and fiction, plus safer living conditions.

Poems Based on Brenda Arledge's Prompt

Our friend Brenda Arledge has given us our 50th prompt, “puzzle”. This is in spite of the loss of her beloved Ron. She is walking through a difficult time in her life that most of us experience at some point. It takes time to find the joy again. My prayers will continue to be with her.

Life is a series of good and not so good happenings. This is what my puzzles reflect. The first poem is a light hearted poem about a lost puzzle piece looking for a way to fit in. The second poem is also about the ups and downs we experience in life.

Problems Solved

I have confusing problems

I don’t know what to do

This predicament is confusing

Solutions are too few

I’ve thought about solutions

This puzzle keeps me awake

I have prayed for an answer

Please God for my sake

This quagmire is complex

This headache has not left

Despite my pleas for help

My thinking is not deft

Scroll to Continue

I’ve asked my father for help

He has no solution either

Next I asked my mother

She told me to take a breather

I wrote out all my options

And put the in a closed jar

I opened it the next week

And headed for the bar

This puzzle almost beat me

Answered prayers are so sweet

Everything worked out for me

This puzzle is now complete

All the pieces fit together

Life in imperfect harmony

Each piece a little different

Each day now a good quality

Life Is A Puzzle

To find my place in this puzzle

I’m an enigma so confused you see

I must have an unusual shape

I am lost and I want to be free

Each piece has a different shape

But I can’t find the place that I fit

Times are good and times are bad

I’ll keep trying I just won’t quit

As i am moved around the board

I strive to find the place belong

I keep smiling through it all

The struggle makes me strong
