My new grandson arrived on Wednesday, October 10, 2012! Such a little sweet angel from above.

Joy, Joy, Joy

A sweet little boy

Will arrive in this world

This very next week

My heart skips a beat

As I can hardly wait to meet

This precious little

Perfect gift from above

Moonlight Beethoven for Baby

A Love Letter to My Grandson to Be

Dear little precious one,

With much joy and anticipation

I await your arrival

As my heart overflows with joy

I cannot believe God is blessing

Me with you, already so cherished

So loved forever you'll be

Each day of my life,

I will celebrate the joy of you

I am so blessed

I just wanted you to know

While watching you grow

I will cherish each moment

I have yet to spend with you

I will gently hold you and rock you

And keep you close to my heart

While singing sweet little lullabies

And whispering sweet truths into your tiny ears

You will know just how amazing you are

And I will kiss all your boo boos so tenderly

No limits will there be to the amount of hugs

I will cry tears with you along the way

Please know that I will pray for you all the days of my life

And rejoice with you in the everyday little joys

I will fight to no end to protect you from harm

But I know, all I really need to do is allow you to lay in His sweet arms

And I shall thank Him for you the rest of my days

For setting my heart fully ablaze

In God's Word, He tell us in James 1:17:

"Every good and perfect gift is from above..."

God makes no mistakes. If you are here, then you are meant to be here. It is no accident, as He makes no mistakes. No matter how you arrived into this world, you matter and you are here for a specific purpose.

My grandchildren call me "Nanny" or "Nana." Whatever they call you from the beginning is what you will be called from then on out. And that is just fine with me, as long as they love me is all that matters.

Hi Dear Flourish,

Yes, my son has blessed me and then some with the grands and now it's my daughter's turn ... boy or girl matters not, but healthy!

Thank you so much for the beautiful comment, and it is easy to write something beautiful when it is all about such a beautiful little sweetheart.

Have a great rest of the week!

FlourishAnyway from USA on May 13, 2014:

This was beautiful. How lucky you are to be able to experience this all over again, boy or girl!

Faith Reaper (author) from southern USA on May 13, 2014:

Hi ologsinquito,

Thank you so much. He is a sweetie. I found out on Mother's Day that I am going to be a grandmother again as my daughter is pregnant. My son blessed me with three grandchildren and now one on the way for the first time by my daughter. They are truly blessings from above.

Have a blessed rest of the week

Faith Reaper (author) from southern USA on October 30, 2013:

Hi Marlene,

So good to see you here, wonder woman! We just celebrated his first birthday the other weekend ...where has the year gone? I updated some photos in my sweetest little five red words hub I have highlighted where he is sitting on my son's shoulder at the park where he had his party.

Thank you for your lovely comments. You should see his eyes now, for they are so huge and bluer than blue! He is a sweetie. We had him up the other weekend all by himself and he had the best time, as did we. He smiled the whole time all weekend. He is a joy for sure. Guess I should have updated the photos here instead of on that other hub LOL but then the title would not match and all would think, wow, what a big baby : ) for arriving next Wednesday.

Looks like you are all set to have a fun time this Halloween. I do hope you are back to start writing again sweetie. You are beautiful.

I appreciate the votes up

Hugs and love, Faith Reaper

Hi Faith, I've missed you too my friend. Hope all is well with you. I came back to read some of your old hubs. Your grandson is precious. His eye color is identical to my nephew's. The love letter is a beautiful expression of love. very sweet & angelic. voted up beautiful

Faith Reaper (author) from southern USA on August 11, 2013:

Yes, the screeching brakes for sure! lol I do need to update his sweet little photo here. Well, he smiles all of the time and is so in love with his oldest sister who sings to him all day long. He is already walking and such a very big boy! He sure is a sweetie. I believe I placed a photo or two of him on my Easter hub of my One year anniversary on HP, as it just happened to fall on Easter, which was so neat, I thought. Yes, like father, like son. My son said it did feel good to not be as out-numbered in a house full of females! lol Wait until they become teenagers ... hehehe

Hugs, Faith Reaper

Jackie Lynnley from the beautiful south on August 11, 2013:

Thank you so much for your well wishes here.

Hi Dearest Sister in Christ Mekenzie,

So lovely to have you stop by as always! I really enjoy when you visit, as you are such a kind and loving person, and your heart always shines through in all of your commenting and writing. You make all feel so special.

Wow, you are truly blessed beyond measure - 11 grandchildren (9 girls and 2 boys)!!! What an incredible blessing to say the least. There are so many lovely grandmothers here on HP, as I have found out, just through this hub. Such a nice thought.

Yes, each one is so very special and unique as God created us so that there is no other one ever like us, which Mary had commented earlier in her lovely comments as well.

All of us grandmothers or grandparents know of that amazing love that feels our hearts to overflow.

Yes, what a wonderful truth you have spoken here of our devotion to the Savior, which adds so much to this hub and glorifies Him!

My son had a head full of curly dark hair too, and now his son has lots of dark hair, but as you can see not curly. He is such a cutie in my eyes too!

This is a beautiful reflection of your heart and the depth of loyalty you have to the Lord and to your grandchild. Your little one is blessed indeed to call you nannie.

I have 11 grandchildren, 9 girls and 2 boys. I can truly say my cup runneth over. I delight in each one and they all know it. My heart radiates love for them and I treasure the times we spend together.

A grandchild is a gift to be treasured and protected. As we share our devotion to the Savior and our love for them we fill their little love cup.

Your little guy has lots of dark hair just as my son did .. he's really a cutie! I will be looking forward to hearing about your new little bundle of joy.

Hugs!

Hi LaThing,

So glad you have stopped by to share in my joy too. I appreciate the kind comments. Well, as far as his name, Jeffrey, his dad is named Jeffrey, as well as his mother's dad, and so they will just call him Landon, so as to not be so confusing with all the Jeffs around. Jeffrey means "Heavenly Peace." I have written of the birth of my son and daughter on the day of their births to include the meanings of their names.

These are all such beautiful poems showing the love you already have for your grandson who is soon to arrive. My grandchildren call me Grandma (but, the "d" is silent). Congratulations, Nannie.

What a beautiful expression of love! Congratulations to you and to the new grandson who will be so lucky you are his Nanny...whether we have one or one hundred, each one is special and brings a new joy to our hearts (I have six and one on the way). You definitely need to keep this poem for him, it is one he can share with his grandchildren.

Voted up, awesome, and beautiful.

Hi LadyFiddler,

So glad you stopped by to share in my joy here this day. You are blessed to have a lot of great cousins no doubt! They really do add a lot of joy in one's life. Yes, distance is hard, but your new great cousin, I am sure, will know of your love, as you seem to have a lot of love inside to spread around.

God bless In His Love, Faith Reaper

Hi Mister Frank,

My Nannie told me to tell you that she is busy right now making me and my little sister pancakes in the kitchen, but that she will be back next week. My Nannie takes a whole lot of pictures, and she always has to show everybody. I know when I was born, she took a lot of pictures of me and my little sister and showed them to the whole world. Hmmm, I guess I will have to get used to this new brother, but I may have to do something to get my Nannie's attention if she pays him too much attention. I think it will be okay because she always tells me I am the best little girl in the whole world. I heard her telling my little sister that too, but I think she was only telling her that to make her feel better. I better go now because my Nannie is calling me to eat pancakes. Yum Yum!!! My Nannie said to tell you God bless you.
