My Mother Poem

Whose food first nourished my body?

When I was introduced to this world

With the most healthful breast-milk.

My Mother!

Whose words best calm my heart

When anger consumes my being

With soft words of love and tenderness.

My mother!

Sweet Mother

Whose teaching sets my life’s principle

When misleading information crowds my hearing

With her convincing or enforced facts.

My Mother!

Whose availability is always sure

When it comes to event of my life

With her company, tagging me as important.

My Mother!

Whose help is without season

When everyone and everything don’t

With the totality of her being.

My Mother!

A beautiful tribute to your mother. And you, her son, generates her goodness through your poetry. Like mother - like son.

This is a wonderful poem and so true. Our mother's guidance throughout life is love in action. My mother went to heaven in 1976 and not a day passes that I don't think of her and realize she always only wanted me to be the best I could be. Thank you for sharing...

abbaelijah, Right now I am en route from Georgia to my mother's house in Indiana. She fell and broke a bone in her foot and needs help for a few weeks while it heals. I'm so glad I have the freedom to be able to go and be with her at this time. Thank you for your wonderful poem. It was just right for me this morning.
