If only you knew how much

I love you, if only you knew how

much I really care for you. If

only you knew the things

I’d do for you. I’ll

follow you to Memphis & I’d

follow you to Utah and I’ll follow

you to Nebraska on a farm.

Carved Heart

Love Pill

Love Pill

I’d carve my name on your heart.

I’d write your name across the Heavens.

It’s all in my elusive dreams…… i'd overdose you

with my undying love......

Things look good at Birmingham

but now they are not looking so

good in Alabama. So we’ll

move on .

I’ll never be tired of following

you for my love for you is just

like mountain dew. It’s immeasurable

like the ocean sand. I’ll follow you

anywhere you go . My love for

you its un dying and it keeps on

burning. I know you may be tired

of me following you but I’d follow

you to Texas and to that gold mine

in Alaska I won’t leave you alone.

...........Its all in my elusive dreams

Still i won't let you go on alone

Morning Jo,

Well, it is Saturday morning here. I love your poetic interpretation of that song, so beautiful. George is smiling down on you now. A beautiful tribute here. I, too, love your singing and look forward to your next video hub singing.

Up ++++ and away

Hugs and hope your weekend is lovely and restful.

Ghaelach on August 23, 2014:

In my younger years we had what was called a 45 record, this along with an even older brother was a 78 record. This round piece of plastic was put on a so called record player. The follower to these was a so called music cassette similar to a video cassette, but it only played music and had around 12 to 16 songs on them. In to days modern world it's totally different where you have 1000's of songs on something smaller than a credit card.

It was all rather slower when I was your age.

Took a snap shot of a Tammy music cassette, but can't show you in the comments.

Have a great weekend.

Joanna Chandler (author) from On Planet Earth on August 23, 2014:

Frank i made up the poem with a few words from the song. Come on Frankie i am 26yrs old so where have u been for this lol. George died last yr 81yrs of age. Hope u listened to the song :)

Ghaelach on August 23, 2014:

Morning from a not so nice western Europe.

I grew up listening to Tammy. She was one girl I would have followed to the ends of the earth (dreams). Do you remember the old cassette tapes (showing my age), well I have umpteen of Tammy.

Lovely hub (poetry not being my strong point), but altogether it is a beautiful hub.

I never heard of these singers.. but is the poem lyrics to a song? that's how it reads... great hub none the less Lady

Joanna Chandler (author) from On Planet Earth on August 22, 2014:

Lol sunshine i myself had to google it because i love george jones voice and singing but i find he and tammy was a little to close to comfort in some of their duets so i said nah they had to be married. Yes they were for 6yrs so i guess she did not get to follow everywhere or to the rest of states ,it was an elusive dream lol. I think they had a daughter together also.

Thanks much good night

Linda Bilyeu from Orlando, FL on August 22, 2014:

These two characters are old classics! For them it seems love really was an elusive dream. Interesting, isn't it?
