I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida with my wonderful cat Sid.
Like flowers that need,
the sun and rain to grow,
so love needs to be nourished
and smiles to make -
the days so very bright.
so much that many,
think it’s so easy -
to say I love you.
Whether love is or isn’t true,
heart like bass drums beat.
Kisses are always a treat
and holding hands warms the soul.
Just three words,
nothing more than petals on the wind,
if they don’t come from the heart.
When love comes along,
it’s so hard to know right from the start,
if two heart will beat as one,
if upon love warm sunbeams will shine.
Love needs rainbows
and special thoughts,
it cannot grow,
if there are only -
three words to tell it so.
I love you,
can be said by anyone,
but it might not be real -
if it doesn’t come from the heart.
The day you find someone -
Do you find them in your heart?
Do your days begin and end
with your special love?
So bright and warm like the sun
or do they end cold and gray?
Like coals no longer,
with hot embers.
Love needs tender loving care,
warmth and happy smiles -
love has to come from the heart.

From the Heart indeed! Like that cute and charming flame I see above, like fire .... nice!

Yes, "I Love You" needs to come from the heart, Rasma. A beautiful poem as always.
