Love for All Hatred for None
Misbah enjoys writing poetry and loves to convey the messages of Love through her poems.

This was a terrorist attack, driven by hatred, into the heart of one of our communities
— Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
The poem is about an incident that took place in a Canadian city, London. According to Canadian police, the family was targeted because of their religion and was killed by a van that jumped to the sidewalk and crushed them on Sunday. The victims ranged in age from 15 to 74 years old.
A nine-year-old son who survived is still being treated in the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

It was Sunday night
In London, Canada
A family of 5 went for a walk,
waiting at an intersection
to cross the road
When a driver intentionally
mounted the curb
He struck them,
and killed the four
Their only crime was their faith
They were Muslims
So they're bad
They were Pakistanis
Killed because of their Islamic faith
There is evidence that It was planned
A premeditated truck act
Motivated by hate
Officials believe,
Victims were targeted
Because of their faith
The London police said
There is no previous connection
Between the suspect and the victims
A grandmother, mom, and Dad
Along with two children,
a daughter and son
He hit them badly and
all of them died,
Except the little boy,
Who is now left behind!
I hope and pray
May he survive
A 9-year-old boy,
who lost his family.
Is badly injured
And doctors are treating
Media reports,
He is asking about his family
He calls his parents
When he feels pain
Doctors told him
His family is in other rooms
In the hospital and
getting treatment
Little angel asked,
to make a face time call
his innocence,
brought tears to my eyes,
The parents and their daughter
Died in the hospital, police said
Salman Afzal, the father of children
was a physiotherapist,
Who also participated,
In the local cricket matches,
An active member,
Of the Mosque community...
GoFundMe account set up
On behalf of the family
The account raised $340,000
As Tuesday's afternoon
A horrible nature crime
Serve as a reminder
The long shadow of
ISLAMOPHOBIA
thats cast on the lives of
Muslims living around...
The account page tells
The donation will be used as
"SADQA E JARIYA"
A gift that benefits people
In this life and also
The ones living in the next...
It's happening in Canada,
This is not normal, it has to stop
Trudeau said, Every time
when we witness such an act
We should Call it out
Nathaniel Veltman, 20 years old
Police came
And caught him on the spot
London is a city consisting approximately 400,000 people located halfway between Detroit and Toronto. It has a large community of Muslims and at least three mosques.
Three generations of Pakistani-Canadians had been killed just for being Muslims. Just because of their faith. I believe killing someone can never be easy, but Is it easy to kill someone for this reason?
I will leave you all with a question here, hating someone for their faith, Is it worth it, are we thinking of ourselves as The Superior Power, Why we forgot one day we all will have to return, How we will face those questions when God will ask us what you have done while living on Earth? What good deeds did you bring with you? Are we really prepared for these questions? Do we not need to prepare ourselves for these questions?
I Salute You Justin Trudeau

Thank you very much for the kind and lovely comments, Pamela. I'm always grateful for your kindness. I believe, There can be no good reason to hate someone. And hating someone for such useless excuses like their belief, race, or gender is something, I can call "The Worst". Such crimes need to stop for the sake of humanity.
Many Blessings and Love

Thank you so much for sharing your kind thoughts, Peggy. Yes, it's really sad that the surviving boy will be scarred with those memories for the rest of his life. I wish, may the people who attacks can understand this. It was a very noble family. This news was really heartbreaking. I believe there is no valid reason to hate anyone.
Stay happy and healthy. Much Love!!!
Blessings always

Thank you so much for your kind and generous comments, John. I always appreciate your kindness. Like you, I often wonder why we all can't live as one people in love and acceptance. This family did not deserve to be killed. It was a horrible case. What if we do not share the same beliefs, do we not share the same 'EARTH'? I believe we all need to love and respect each other
Stay happy and healthy!!
Blessings and Peace

I don't know about where you live, but in the U.S., the daily news is filled with stories of senseless killings. I can't watch the news for more than 30 minutes or my whole evening is ruined. Love is the only answer, but can we get everyone to sign up for it?
You can share a meal at our table anytime you want. You will always be welcomed at our home, my friend.

Thanks a lot for your beautiful thoughts, Amara. I don’t know if the guy was a Jew but what matters is that hatred and terrorism must be stopped. Who doesn’t know what’s happening in Gaza? They are taking lives of innocent people for no reason. In Islam, Killing one person is like killing humanity.
“Whoever kills an innocent life it is as if he has killed all of humanity.” ... Qur'an Ar-Ra'd, 13:11. Injustice is Injustice, a crime is always a crime and there’s never any good reason to commit a crime. The rule applies to all Muslims and Non Muslims. My sincerest prayers for the little boy. May Allah bless him with His countless blessings. Ameen!
Blessings and Love to you, dear sister

This is a heartbreaking event. We should not judge or condemn anyone for their religion or the color of there skin. I don't know why their is so much hatred in this world, but it needs to stop. I am glad you wrote about this tragedy, Misbah.
Peggy Woods from Houston, Texas on June 09, 2021:
What a tragedy! That surviving boy will be scarred with those memories for the rest of his life. Why must people be targeted for their appearance, faith, or any number of other things? Why cannot we learn to live in peace with one another? I pray that the young boy gets the help he needs. That type of tragedy is happening all too often in many places around the world. Surely we can do better!

What a pointless and tragic event. Thank you for sharing and highlighting this injustice. Why can’t we all live a as one people in love and acceptance wherever we are in the world. A touching poem. Prayers are with the young survivor who must go through life without his family.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Linda. It is really a horrible and tragic case. I wish and pray that the boy gets help and May Allah grant the little boy with great patience. Ameen!! I hope and pray that the truck driver will not be released and will be punished according to the laws. It was sad to see a repeated similar case in Canada. Last time the accused of the mosque case was not punished the way he should. I salute Justin Trudeau's kindness. May God help him and the laws to do justice. Amen!. I appreciate your visit.
Many Blessings to you

Wow! Misbah you have outdone yourself on this hub. So many valuable points made here and so true about all mentioned. Sometimes one overlooks these points and do what they think is right. The misconception of all are often not seen by many individuals. People have their opinions and see it from that.
Rozlin from UAE on June 09, 2021:
This is really very sad, Misbah. May Allah make it easy for the boy left behind and bless his parents with jannah. Really feeling very bad for the nine year old boy left behind. Blessings and lots of love.

Thank you for creating this article, Misbah. You’ve described a horrible and tragic event. It’s a major news story here in Canada. I like Justin Trudeau’s response, but I hope some practical steps are taken to fight the problem. I also hope the boy who survived gets lots of help now and in the future. What a terrible situation for him to deal with.
Eman Sehar on June 08, 2021:
