Krampus Awaits
Pagan Poetry is a specialty of mine - I own a website called TheGypsyThread with more of my work.
The beast Krampus stirs
For the great wheel has struck December
And the countdown has begun
God have mercy on the naughty
For when the day becomes five
Krampusnacht doth arrive
Night of the claw and rod to the skin
The devil, he laughs as the beating begin
Eyes deeped in red, tall does he stand
Something part goat, the other part man
His sinister tongue, how it flickers
Sharpened fangs, cut like scissors
Cloven hooves and then claws
And beyond expectations, it’s set to applause
Krampus won’t hide, no, he’s in the parade
A partner he has, shares a deal they have made
As Saint Nick gives rewards, Krampus gives beatings
The nice children happy, the naughty one’s seething
While the worst of the pack, will be thrown in his sack
To hell they will travel, and be dumped with the rabble
A dire fate for the living, the result of misgiving
But a lesson to the others for sure
