Jezebel's Spell

I am an artist, designer, photographer and writer. See more of my work on cmariearts.

She walks in

As calmly as can be

A coldness rushes from beneath her

She smiles all too knowingly

She knows she has him

Under her spell

Vicious and conniving

Under her sweet veil

Deceiving them all

She will always win

She will never fail

Getting her way

That is how it always was

Always will be

The demon inside her

Cannot be set free

Sexiness and charm

She grabs you by the throat

Never letting go

Watching you

A sad joke

A queen with horns

That is her facade

She will make you weak

Seducing through the bones

Be careful of Jezebel

She will grab hold tight

When you are weak

Never letting go

In spite

Reading the comments someone mentioned the word 'succubus'..

where i come from we call it 'succ-u-dry'

That apple makes for a bad, bad girl, but - some are worse than others...

Love it, dear - and sharing accordingly..

I've known women like this...they can steal your man away, destroying his fragile ego, as he gets sucked in deeper to her charms and wiles. Then when she is done with him, she spews him out like old trash, moving on to another to entertain her wants and wishes. They make movies and write stories about it. Great hub, very clever! : )

Hello Valleypoet thanks so much for reading and your comment. It's nice to meet you. :)

Hi Alur thanks for your thoughtful comment. I agree that it's both men and women who can act this way. The "jezebel" can take over anyone and destroy anyone. You have a unique way of writing. I will stop by your hubs often. :)

Hi Epi thank you very much for your gracious compliments. I am flattered. I feel the same way about your writing. Keith Jarrett and a beer sound great. LOL. I would love to do the same but I just woke up. Always a pleasure seeing you on my hubs. I will be visiting yours soon. Sending warm wishes back to you on this December morning. :)

Good morning Caroline - just returned home after night shift work and listening to Keith Jarrett - it's pretty far out jazz for early morning - lol - but with a beer and some nice snacking food - it's going down pretty good - just like your writing here on this sacred page of yours - yes you are truly what I call a poet's poet - always a sublime experience when I arrive here on your page and it's always a honor and a thrill to call you a most esteemed colleague - sending you warm wishes on this cold December morning from lake erie time 7:11am canada

ALUR from USA on December 14, 2012:

Such an artful way of describing what in history is often referred to as the succubus. I think many women have used and abused men equally as our opposite sex. What then happens is a distortion, scorn and a less likely chance to find a worthy partner. Be weary of jezebelle and all that she devours for the rest of us women.

You're welcome to read/rate my hubs as well:)
