I Never Get The Help I Need
Even When They See Me Bleed
Only Ask If I'm Ok
What A Useless Thing To Say
"I'm Fine" Is My Reply
But Deep Down I Want To Die
They Continue On With Their Day
Being No Help To Me In Any Way
Sometimes I Know Its Too Much
And I'll Need A Helping Hand And A Crutch
To Lean On, Support Me And Guide Me Through
The Period Of Time That I'm Feeling Blue
Cant Seem To Escape The Blahs
Cant Seem To Accept My Flaws
I Hate Myself And That's Not New
Either Are The Depression Bouts I Go Through
I Suffer In Silence
Because Help Cant Be Found
I Suffer In Silence
Because I Don't Make A Sound
All My Pleas Fall On Deaf Ears
Even When I Scream
No One Hears
It's Just Me Alone In This Pit
Man, I'm Getting Sick Of This Shit
When Will It End
No One Knows
We'll Just Have To See How It Goes
Just Be A Friend, Just Show Me You Care
When I Need You, Please Just Be There
To Talk, To Hang Out, Get Me Out Of My Head
Even On The Days I Can't Get Out Of Bed
I've Been Made To Feel
Like Its A Form Of Greed
I Know Its A lot
But Its The Help That I Need

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on November 06, 2020:
I think we all need and want help from others. I guess it's hard for them to know we need a friendly arm of comfort when we say we are just fine.
I often hide my true feelings from others. I think they will just know, but it doesn't happen and I am left alone.
This poem reflects that inner pain one feels...great write.
Lorna Lamon on November 05, 2020:
It's important to receive help when you suffer with depression as well-meaning friends are not qualified to offer real help. However, explaining to them what is going on can make it easier for them to understand. I use CBT as a tool to treat depression and I find it very beneficial. Do not suffer in silence Mike, as depression is treatable with both medication and therapy. Let me know if I can be of help. Lorna.

Everyone one needs help sometimes.
When we are not actually expecting it, miracle happens.
So stay strong and keep believing in yourself, mankind and nature.
You might find the help from a very unlikely place.

I am sure your fellow hubbers( us) will comfort and help you if they can.
