Happy Soul's Day, Shauna L Bowling. Wednesday's Inspiration 15

Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

Happy Birthday, Shauna

On Shauna

Shauna L Bowling, to me, has a high-spirited, bubbly, playful and vivacious personality. She’s indeed sassy and exuberant, but is a kind, loving, passionate and generous soul. She’s is Pisces, like my daughter (Feb21st), and my younger sister in Texas, (March 4th).

Shauna may wish to know that this week, Mystic Meg has her on a romantic roll, with Venus at her back, to enable her to dive right in to big love discussions, and hot dates. Ha-ha. So, if you’re reading this, then you must pray, like me, that she has a sense of fun, even on her sacred Soul’s Day, otherwise I’m in trouble.

Shauna is always brave enough to try new things, confident enough to make first moves. However, she seems to regret a move she made so many years ago, in the vocation business. Who knows the Will of heaven? Not me!

Right now she’s loving what she does, is relatively satisfied, and as Mars injects new inspiration and ideas into her life, who knows, she may come unto a winner.

Shauna has hidden culinary skills and is great in the kitchen (Wish I was there). I get the impression, that she is diligent at work and tend to go the extra mile for others. Much of her experience came from the past, for with some rich ethnicities in her DNA, she was bold enough; romantic enough, to be able to walk in all crowds from the elite to hard-core biker, because of her looks and logical mind.

Wouldn’t push my luck though, as she has the Irish, Italian and native American in her and as such is blessed with an abundance of undaunting courage.

Isn't this a cute lassie?

Shauna says that her professional writing career began in the early 1980’s as a copywriter for the local South Florida area. She attended Brown Institute in Ft. Lauderdale, earning her certification and FCC license in radio/television broadcasting. A local TV production house was in need of a copywriter and turned to Brown Institute for the placement program they offered students. She was recommended and hired on the spot.

She not only acted as copywriter, but assisted in the production of all the TV commercials she wrote for various local businesses and the Miccosukee Tribe. These were aired on local network affiliate stations. When the production house went out of business, Shauna moved on to an advertising agency, also located in Ft. Lauderdale.

The agency specialized in the banking and auto industries, with TV, radio, and print ads distributed nationwide. She was one of two copywriters and also supervised the audio sessions for TV and radio spots.

Shauna says that after a few years in the business, happenstance came to visit and beckoned her to re-enter the world of construction accounting. During this time, she married, had a son and devoted her time to family life.

Wisdom from the Master

"Each birthday is a new awakening. Each birthday is a new hope. Each birthday is a new promise. Each birthday is a new fulfilment...

When the soul descends to earth, the soul takes responsibility not only for the earth-consciousness but also for the Heaven-consciousness...

Each birthday is a tune, a melody of the universal music. Each individual is also a melody of the universal music..."

What a charming woman!

Snowdrops unfurl their resplendent Light; the dove

Of Peace, ignites a shimmering flame of purple hue.

A quintessence of tulips, blue-bells and other kindred

Spirits, banquet at a kaleidoscope of lustrous colours,

Bewildering me with their numerous wafts.

The sweet voices of opera sonata, whisper their secrets

To Mother Gaia, creating an epitome of butterflies;

Of streaming rays and iridescent candles, glistening

Beneath the portal, of this Temple of Love Divine.

It is Spring. The song-bearers waltz as the verdant

Green of leaves and foliage glimmers. The light zephyrs

Sway, like a ballerina, and a paragon of splendour

Peeps through, nourishing this garden of enchantment;

Offering their reverence, to the Citadel of the sun.

- Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 1st March, 2021

Shauna had a talent for writing poetry, and this continued during her hiatus. This resulted in several of her original poems being published in various anthologies.

In early 2011, she began writing weekly Green Tips for her employer's website. This rekindled her passion for creative writing and she has been writing ever since. In fact, her passion for the written word burned so fiercely, that she quit her job as accounting manager in September of 2012 and formed her own one-woman freelance business. However, due to lack of marketing skills, she returned to the workforce in January 2016.

Speaking of the name Bravewarrior, Shauna says it was born of her imagination when she was nine years old. She played in the empty lot across the street from her house in Philadelphia, which was heavy with blackberry bushes. She’d squish the berries and paint them on my face as Chief Bravewarrior or make dinner with them as a Cherokee squaw. The extended version of how she became Bravewarrior, is posted here on HubPages.

When she began writing again in 2011, she chose Bravewarrior as her pen name. It not only speaks of her imagination, but her personality also. Shauna says that nothing gets her down for long; she always overcome whatever life throws her way and has the strength to travel down new roads looking for life’s next story. This she does remarkably well, whether through ‘writing prompts’ set by others, or initiating her own creative juices to flow.

Wisdom from the Master

"Each birthday is a petal of a flower. The flower, petal by petal, blossoms and then it is ready to be placed at the inner shrine in the aspiring heart.

A thought indicates a new birthday. An iota of will indicates a new birthday. An upward movement indicates a new birthday. At every moment, whether we look within or without, we celebrate the birthday of our oneness with God, the Creator of the entire universe." - Sri Chinmoy

Oh, I got to you last, Shauna and then tried to correct the mistake and lost all my other comments. Tears. Anyway, it's done now. Talk about not following the inner voice. Sensed I was wrong. Lynn it is then. Lol.

Yes, I was worried too, especially as you have been a champion in trying to get the Hub pages gods to do the decent thing. So happy you made it. A very, very Happy Birthday to you. Enjoy!!

Shauna L Bowling from Central Florida on March 03, 2021:

I love the poem you've written for me. I recognize it as the one you included in the Jackie Lawson birthday card you sent me. It put a huge smile on my face.

Thank you so much for this wonderful gift, Manatita. Just one thing: my middle name is Lynn, so it's Shauna L Bowling.

So glad I caught this before it goes to Discover or LetterPile so I could leave a comment painlessly.

Bill Holland from Olympia, WA on March 03, 2021:
