On birthdays

"Each birthday is a new awakening. Each birthday is a new hope. Each birthday is a new promise. Each birthday is a new fulfilment. "- Sri Chinmoy

Sri Chinmoy sings Happy Birthday

Wisdom from the Master

"The dictionary houses thousands and millions of words, but without the least possible hesitation, I wish to say that the word 'mother' remains unparalleled in terms of sweetness, love, concern, intimacy, closeness and oneness. There is no other word as significant as 'mother." - Sri Chinmoy

The Rose, my Valentine

Pure symbol of Love, my dawn, my sanctity; the

Cross of floral sacrifices; of glamour and allure. I

Found you dancing on my pillow, an epitome of pink

And red décor, stabbing at my heart-strings with Delight.

My soul a thousand smiles, you, finding a space within its

Sanctum, tugging at its joy with the wafts of your fragrance;

Kissing the lotus blossoms of my Heart, into a synergy of new life.

O Light, my supernal Light, touching a million lives each day,

The Grace of heaven dances on your bosom; sweet sunrise

Adorning thy breath, with its opulence supreme.

I see you, blushing with charisma, like the scarlet moon, cheeks

Dimpling with the smile of tenderness, an invitation to souls, to

Inhale your fragrance supreme. Come! cute glorious mystery, embrace

This lowly gardener, with the mellifluous rays of thy ancient secrets.

You are my melody; you are my Love. I’m only an instrument,

Beckoning to the notes of thy symphony, so that the honeyed

Melody from whence you came, will re-discover Its own sweetness,

At the banquet of the Beloved, only to soak my soul, in happiness.

Quote from the Master

"The Mother is affection, the mother is love, the mother is concern, the mother is closeness, the mother is inseparable oneness, with the child. In the life of the mother, the child is undoubtedly the dearest living being. In the heart of the child, the same experience must always loom large -- the mother is all.

To the child, the mother is sweet, sweeter, sweetest. To the mother, the child is sweeter than the sweetest..." - Sri Chinmoy

About Pamela, (A Glimpse)

When I look at Pamela’s photograph, the first thing I see is her enchanting smile. It is like she’s pulled the moon down and its brilliant rays, just radiates from her beautiful face.

A woman of many talents, she shows interest in a wide variety of hobbies to include research, travel and writing. She excels at medical Hubs, due in part to her background of management in nursing.

Pamela covers such topics like the brain, heart, thyroid, auto-immune conditions and much more. She learned a lot through her own experiences with lupus and social interactions, as well as through meditation and her innate goodness.

Pamela is a family orientated mother, and a very filial daughter. She has three sons, one daughter and four grandchildren. She and her husband take care of her 95-year-old mother in the family home.

In her spare time, Pamela enjoys gardening, making stained glass art and is active in several genealogy organizations. She describes herself as a joyful Christian and this is very easy to pick-up from the cheerfulness and beauty on her cheeks and face.

Pamela is very supportive to me in her comments and is much loved for her charismatic demeanour, her eloquence with words and her heart-touching sentiments to many. Her recent piece on Kate Warne, is indeed exquisite and well thought out.

Pamela has been writing on Hub pages for 11 years and is a significant friend of the Hub pages community network.

Wisdom from the Master

"In a mother's love we see divinity expressing itself in various significant ways. The first thing we notice in a mother's love is purest concern, and the second thing we notice is endless patience." _ Sri Chinmoy

In the Bewildering Light of Supernal Beauty. A Free-style Sonnet

In the bewildering Light of Supernal beauty,

My Heart walks on a kaleidoscope of grandeur.

The soul, fed by an illustrious flame, emanates

A cascade of rose-blossoms, to this Citadel of longing.

The radiant sun nourishes my Spirit, while the

Moon dances on this pageantry of glowing lamps.

Whispering Love-thrills to my sweet agony of innate

Hunger, she feeds me with stars that twinkle within.

My song-bird soars upward, soaked in the redolence of

Fragrant rose-buds, all blossoming within, while Love laughs

In ecstasy, as my breath withdraws in Silence. It is only in

Solitude, that the sound of Emptiness becomes meaningful.

I call out to the perennial heavens, shining in my Being, cleansing

And garnishing my impunity, steeped in the deathless Bliss of Sweetness.

So you will have an extra Birthday and valentine gift!

Tried to use your 'new look' (Smile) latest picture, but it was too small. Still, I rather love the old one too. Thank you so much for visiting and acknowledging this loving article of mines. Much Love.

This is a lovely tribute to Pamela who is such a kind and friendly soul. One thing I learnt about her from this is that she does stained-glass work - wonderful!

I've found her to be a good friend, with a caring heart and a good moral compass. She looks and 'sounds' (in her writing) to be a cheerful and outgoing person. You've done a great job here!

Thank you so much, and I would like to thank everyone for their kind comments. You sure know a lot about me. This is a very happy birthday.

One of my sons, whom I haven't seen in a long time due to the virus, is coming to see me with his wife for a few hours today. He lives 3 hours away, so he will drive 6 hours for a birthday visit.
