FLUSHING YOUR MIND

. . . As a man thinks in heart, so is he. This is from the book of Proverbs in the Bible. So we can say that you are the product of your thoughts.

Surprisingly, we are invariably moved by our accumulated thoughts, and we act accordingly. In the first instance, if you do not control and caution your evil thought, it will have control over you in the second instance.

As your mind interprets your environment, and brood over it with thoughts, so the Word of God can energize your mind and walk over what you see with faith. This is when and where you take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

This is a serious mental exercise that you need to practice every day until you are able to master the art by the available grace of God.

You do not kill a tree by cutting off its branches, you need to cut off the root from it's source of nutrients. So it is with your mind, you need to watch carefully the environment which feeds your mind with garbage, and boldly cut it off.

It will take a while for your subconscious mind to get rid of your negative and harmful thoughts - minimum of six months at best! At this period of flushing your mind, you must continually fill your mind with the Word of God and avoid vile communication.

This Scripture will throw light unto the above paragraph:
'Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.' - Jeremiah 15:19

Take the PRECIOUS from the VILE - a Divine Operation on the Mind!

My friend, time and space will not permit me to dig deep into this important issue, but the danger of it is that your Mind which Science called or tagged as the 'activity of your brain' is what the Bible referred to as the Soul which will stand in judgement before God!

When Apostle Paul admonished us to renew our minds, he was actually asking us to be 'born again' - be mindful of heaven. Let your thought be affected and effected by the realm of Heaven (Colossians 3:1&2).

If you are not rapt into the Word of God, you can not experience rapt ~ ure. It is what you have inside of you, the accumulation of your thoughts that tells us if you are a Christ - ian or not.

As a man thinketh, so is he.

We become what we think about.

Approach the Potter now by His Word.
