Courage - Courage Is Strength! Poem (Updated)

Week 8 of the "Good Words" Project

This weeks "Good Words" Project word is Courage.

When Joanne started the "Good Words" project.

I pledged that I would write a poem for each one,

And I wonder am I the only one?

Courage is Strength

My Hubber Friends - Courage is written for you. If you do not find your name, believe me it was omitted by accident. As I collect new friends their names will be added also, as time permits

Courage is strength to try my friend

Even when you know you can't possibly win

Keep on trying then try, try again

Never give up right to the end

Courage is strength within your soul

To believe the word of truth when it is told

Even when it gets twisted and bowed

And you are burdened down with a heavy load

Courage is strength, to face the deepest Grief

To keep their sweet memories

Of their loved one in heart and mind

Where you can almost access them anytime

Courage is strength of character

To always do what is right

Even when you know that you must fight

To bring the truth into the light

Courage is strength of honor

Honor our military men and women who fight in

Foreign wars and against the unfairness of conflicts on our shores

All honor is theirs, and their legacy is ours

A special up-date to my HubPage friends

While searching through some pictures

I found a note that describes my HubPage friends

A note that I had written down

Long ago the note was lost and now that note is found

My HubPage Friends

These are words on a note I copied from a card I sent to a friend the note said 9/15/2002 And, this is how I feel about YOU my Hubber Friends

Doesn't seem like our conservative members of the Senate have much in the way of courage.

Without his Twitter account, we don't hear as much from Trump, but I understand many of the Republicans are afraid for their own lives and the lives of their families if they challenge Trump in any way. Look how he sicked his neanderthals on Pence and Palosi. I've heard him over the years, threaten to set them on all of us if he doesn't get his way.

Even the murder of the cop by Trump's thugs brought no sympathy to the situation. I read that Trump refused to pay his respects to the cop who laid in state in the Capital after the mob killed him.

When they hire a mob boss, what can people really expect?

Au fait, thank you for as always for the wonderful comments and for sharing.

I am sorry it is so hot for you, we need the rain spread out through the year not all in one month (seems like that is how long it has been raining.

The builder, is scamming these three people, who grew up at a time when there were a lot more people who could be trusted than there are now. Now there are a lot more people who cannot be trusted. I wrote a poem about the Mayor, who plans to run for Senate.

I hope you got dry and that all is well with you.

Blessings and Hugs.

Mary Craig from New York on April 26, 2015:

A true inspiration from top to bottom. Your poems are amazing and your graphic so poignant.

Without courage I don't think we could face the day. Every day holds surprises for us, some not so pleasant. As long as we have courage we can go on.

Voted up, useful, awesome, and interesting. An amazing button would have been nice here.

An excellent poem and the graphic is a great tribute to your fellow hubbers. I hope they will take the time to read this poem and search the graphic for their name . . .

Too hot today! And it's only just getting revved up. To begin raining again tomorrow. I used to love the rain and the thunder and lightening, but now I have a different relationship with it . . .

Hope all is well there. I'm truly sorry the council voted the way they did. You fought the good fight and I hope you will write about it because there is a lot for people to learn from your experience.

Queen Hypatia, thank you for your comments, I do appreciate you so much. You are so right about being stagnant. It is like the quote I heard so long ago, "He who does no good does evil enough."

I am so glad to see, I hope all is well with you.

Queen Hypatia on May 04, 2014:

So many important aspects of life. Courage to move forward knowing that the future may hold anything at all, good or bad, is so important lest we remain stagnant and do nothing. Doing nothing is as bad as 'not being' at all. I note you have written on many important aspects of life and your artwork is superb also.

G'day Shyron! This is possibly the sweetest and most inspiring Hub I've read, the big HP at the top, what an amazing and brilliant thing to do. I'm so happy to be your HP friend and follower and will share this Hub with all of my followers too. You're an inspiration here because of the way you unite us Hubpages writers! Well done :)

Shyron E Shenko (author) from Texas on March 31, 2014:

Hypatia, (Queen Hypatia) I don't know about other countries and how they view Christians, I would hope that I would have the courage to be open about my Belief in God and his son Jesus Christ.

Thank you so much for stopping by my friend and for your comments, I really appreciate everything you do.

Blessings to you

Shyron

Queen Hypatia on March 29, 2014:

Courage is so important. Do you know, people need a lot of courage in some countries just to be openly Christian? I have lived here in America for quite a while now, and I wonder how many people here would have the necessary courage to be Christian if it were dangerous to admit their Christianity the way it is in some countries.

Finding one's name on your giant HP has to be one of the best ways to start a new work week. I hope your other followers will take the time to find their own names too, and that new people will start following so their name will eventually find its way onto this amazing graphic.

Thank you so much Bill for the comments and compliment. You are right, My cousin the one with Cushings Syndrom is probably the most corageous person I have ever known. I don't think I would have made through what she has been through.

She raised two sons and then in September walked out of the hospital with a broken arm, broken leg and 8 broken ribs. Working on part 2 which is more amazing.
