God is our living water ~ after reading, please check out the reason for this hub at the bottom learn how to help
Pain so riddled and so constant
Please, strength seep back as we ponder
Holding each as one is burned
Death to earth as we seek living water
Pain so riddled and so constant,
Comfort sleep how you’re at bay.
One should suffer in the silence,
The toll is growing day by day.
Hear the chime, as time is passing,
Losing much to our dismay,
Holding firm to all that’s promised,
Knowing He doth light the way.
Why must joy be slowly shaken?
Listless body trunk of a tree.
Leaves that whither gently falling,
As limply they lay at our feet.
Though we tried to grasp them tightly,
Releasing, flailing, from our grip.
We remain and grateful still,
Sadly watching laughter slip.
Our loving spirit seems to wander,
A heart so joyful misses beats.
Please, strength seep back, as we ponder,
Allow our hearts to win this feat.
Broken bodies losing battles,
Distorted in a mockery,
They can surely show the rattle,
Assuming eyes do stare at thee.
Mind and heart do linger patient,
Imparting reasons, do we give?
Why bother for the lost within,
The quiet chasm, where they live.
Listen to our fervent ramble,
Hoping favor be returned.
Knowing life is but a scramble,
Holding each as one does burn.
Searing fire at our backs,
Running rampant after thee.
With love’s companion,
We can face it!
Straight into the eyes, we see.
Torrent power from the masses,
Poured upon the lowly beast.
Be gone you trickster adversary,
Be you trampled by our Fleet.
We are one with He who’s greater,
Awaiting when we too shall meet.
We will not give up the battle,
We lay humbly at His feet.
Earth is dying giving way,
The living water we shall want.
Nearly capture though it may,
Darkness power has to hunt.
With belief in living water,
From the One, you can’t deny.
You have found the only answer,
And the question to the why?
Earth is dying living water,
For no matter is the pain.
There will be a final battle,
And in this battle darkness slain.
Pray that He who looks upon us,
On our battle sternly fought.
With hope in Him, we will not falter,
Our salvation it is bought.
We believe in living water from the one we can't deny
A Mission field near you ~ Be a part of the change
You can save by giving water, through this small act, you will do God's work. At the end of this hub, there are links to HK humankind water, it is a country and worldwide mission, to get us to do something so simple. Buy this kind of bottled water. This water saves lives; you can do it, you can drink a bottle of water, can't you?
We are so blessed to go to a faucet or a public drinking fountain, where we find fresh, safe water to drink. Imagine having water all around you that to bathe in it could poison you. What if your baby or child thirsting and you can not just give them a fresh cup of water? How awkward if you want to clean a cut and the water has filled with bacteria?
We can be part of the change in this world; please consider one bottle of HumanKind water for someone who needs it, Thanks.

Thank you it means so much to me for you to comment on this piece. This writing is so close to my heart. I am not the poet and yet there are times the words just come and mean so much in my head, so happy some enjoy them when I write them down. God Bless

I am so aware of your acquaintance with these words. I am also so excited to see your comment as I knew you would understand the fullness of these words and their meaning. I love that you get it, I also love that you always see the message I entwine which I feel and hope is always inspired by our Heavenly Father. The trials are a constant at times and yet as Michael's song states, "When death dies all things live." My dearest Mekenzie if not for that I fear we would not make it through some of these earthly days and yet, "Lion sleeps- grave stones roll When death dies all things live" Praise God we will meet Him one day ~ Peace and much love always

Whoa Kathy, this is a beautiful flow of poetic words. I feel and am acquainted with this battle between Heaven and Earth.
The pain of life overwhelms and overtakes at times yet even as it does we cling to the one who has saved us eternally and our eyes are fixed on Him - the one who never fails us.
I love ya my friend and I pray for you and know that God holds you and uses you. He is Faithful.
p.s. I know Michael Gungor - though he does not know me. He was a worship leader at my son's church which we attended for about a year. He has quite the heart and voice.
In stillness we find Him waiting.

Thank you for your comment ~ I am more a writer than a poet and yet these words came to me so strongly and felt they had a kind of power in a rhyme. The fact that through it, you were able to see the message gives me great joy in knowing God inspires all of our works. Thanks you so much it means so much ~ blessings to you :)
