Down to Earth
I touched the moon.
Its silver light glistening over
The night's pure, pale sky.
Cool and pure, while avoiding thy touch.
I watched it as it moved at my moments,
Hesitated at my words.
Thrived at my will.
It slipped through my open fingers.
Glistening, glittering, glowing gracefully
In the silky, swirly, sky.
It breathed with melancholy
Dancing for those who wandered the night
I touched the moon
Though the oceans light
